Therefore, it is certain to abide therein. Furthermore, just as there are forms on the earth, and houses in the heavenly realms, whatever various appearances arise, all of these are the appearances of the ālaya. The ālaya is the universal hand, the universal mouth, eyes, and head as well. Either simultaneously or gradually, it thoroughly abides, pervading all places. It intoxicates children, abiding in one's own heart. For this, in a dual manner, it fills the entire body and abides thoroughly. Thus it is taught. Then again, whatever is designated as the ālaya, that is the very dharmadhātu spoken of to children, designated by the name "suchness," and taught in that way. It is not empty; nothing exists. Just as pottery is struck by a hammer, whatever thing can be destroyed, that thing does not truly exist. If an empty thing exists, it will be destroyed, not indestructible. That which is to be destroyed and that which destroys are posited by discrimination. Thus it is said. The venerable Nāgārjuna also first refuted the assertion of a self and the assertion of an afterlife, establishing that knowable things are internal. Then again, he said, "It appears there just as it is, but how it appears is not so. Because consciousness is not the way of self, another basis other than consciousness appears. For example, when a magnet is seen, iron quickly moves completely. Although this has no mind, it appears as if it has mind. Likewise, the ālaya is discriminating, without mind but like having mind. It moves by going and coming, constantly taking the three existences. For example, from the edge of the ocean, waves certainly move. Likewise, the ālaya is discriminating, moving dependent on the body." Thus it is taught. For example, molasses is sweet, and fire is of a hot nature. Likewise, all dharmas are considered to be of one empty nature. Thus it is said. Therefore, the various dharmadhātu itself, appearance and truth, are taught to be inseparable. In Joyful Land and so on, when one of these is manifest, the other is not visible, and therefore they abide in mutually opposing natures. Merely believing that they are inseparable with subsequent wisdom is as before. The forms and so on that appear there, the Buddha

That is, to definitely hold on to that. It is clearly shown that it is said, that is, the teacher said, abiding in the Perfection of Wisdom is to definitely hold on to the nature of reality, such as the form of the essence of reality, as the Tathagata himself. Therefore, according to reason, the single word such as the nature of reality should also be applied to all four aspects. The wisdom of generosity and so on is said to be the gradual realization, the extremely gathering realization, and the order of realization is mentioned. However, among them, any of the thirteen types of generosity and so on, if focused on for a moment, then all the meanings that are spoken and will be spoken can be focused on in a single moment. To show the reason for this, it is said to be free from definitely grasping individual things, because of being accustomed to one's own nature. Therefore, from the opposite of grasping individually, it is not only that many are gathered into one, but also, like the example of a piece of wood, one can also gather many. Thus, each of generosity and so on also gathers the characteristics of the Dharma from generosity and so on to the eighty minor marks, so the words are combined in this way. What is meant by being drawn by previous aspirations is: may all phenomena be realized by the wisdom that possesses a single moment, and by the power of constantly reciting the Noble Good Conduct Prayer and so on. Therefore, the noble Nagarjuna said: The vows of the Bodhisattva, and the conduct of the Good One, by engaging in the mind of enlightenment, should make the wisdom unwavering. Thus he said. The power of the realm of Dharma is that everything is its nature, so there is no oneness or otherness. In truth, it is not even that one gathers many, so what is there to be surprised about? The remaining words are easy to understand, so they are not distinguished. The commentary on the seventh chapter is complete. Commentary on the Seventh Chapter.
