Starting from the arising of the mind, the practice of cultivation included in the intermediate path of the uninterrupted path. This meaning was also stated by the master Shantideva: If the mind of enlightenment is briefly summarized, it should be understood as two types: the mind of aspiring to enlightenment and the entering into enlightenment itself. Just as wanting to walk and actually walking, just as how a diamond is mined, similarly, the wise should understand the differences between these two in sequence. The master Kamalashila said: All sentient beings in the stage of ordinary beings are said to be the mind of aspiring to enlightenment, and starting from the Joyful Ground, with the distinction of wisdom, entering into the realm of reality as it is, is the mind of entering into enlightenment. Furthermore, some say: The power of friends, the power of causes, the power of roots, the power of hearing, from the habituation of virtue, from the unstable to the stable arising, is said to be the mind generation taught by others. And it is said: By relying on the perfect Buddha, accumulating the accumulations of merit and wisdom, because the non-conceptual wisdom of the Dharma arises, therefore it is considered supreme. From the perspective of these statements, abiding in the irreversible stage, and before obtaining the irreversible stage, it is established as aspiration and entry (into the mind of enlightenment). The first attainment of non-conceptual Dharma is the attainment of the warm stage, without doubt about the profound meaning. And it is said: Even in dreams, all phenomena are seen as dreamlike, and so on. Therefore, it is said in this way. Now, like this, the mind that is in accordance with the two mental factors of aspiration and compassion, arising with the object of sentient beings and perfect enlightenment, is the generation of the mind. Why, in the "Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life," is only the aspiration among the mental factors shown as the meaning of the generation of the mind? Thinking about this, questions and answers will arise, that is, saying "wanting perfect enlightenment itself is" and so on, the word "ne" means "because of what." The rest is easy to understand. Also, what is the nature of wanting, combine that with what is wanting. The answer to this is that wanting is also like an illusion, it is wanting itself, but it is not wanting with attachment to reality, like an illusionist.
