Regarding "as their number, there are eight aspects," etc., it should be understood that the origin and the path each have eight and seven aspects, respectively. Suffering and cessation should be known to have five and sixteen aspects. Among these, the eight understandings of the truth of origin refer to "being free from desire," etc., meaning that turning one's back on objects is being free from desire. Not being attached is being unattached. The pacification of faults is peace. Being free from desire is being without desire. Being without anger is being free from anger. Correct wisdom is being without ignorance. Being free from affliction is being without affliction. Being without sentient beings is the absence of sentient beings. These aspects, in order, are the antidotes to which of these? The unfavorable aspects are the cause, arising, increase, and condition of the truth of origin, and four aspects are mentioned. Among these, what is the cause is divided into three aspects: the cause of before and after, the result, and existence. That is, "desire," etc., are mentioned, where desire is the manifestation of desire for all objects. The attachment that actualizes it is craving. For craving, there is joy, the manifestation of joy in becoming a god or a human, etc. The antidotes to these unfavorable aspects are the three aspects of being free from desire, being unattached, and peace. What is arising is also threefold: desire, anger, and ignorance. The antidotes to these unfavorable aspects such as desire are being without desire, being without anger, and being without ignorance. What is increase is common conception, because it is the aspect of all unfavorable aspects. Its antidote is being without affliction, because from the cessation of affliction, all conceptual thoughts cease. What is the condition is the manifestation of attachment to sentient beings, because it is its aspect. Its antidote is being without sentient beings, because from knowing the absence of sentient beings, its attachment ceases.

It is so. Thus, becoming the antidote to these, namely, the three natures and three that are incompatible with desire and attachment, etc., are detachment, etc., non-attachment, etc., and one and one, namely, no afflictions and no sentient beings. Eight and so on, the reason is eight kinds. The seven aspects of the path are immeasurable, etc., which is mentioned because it is not the object of discrimination, so it is immeasurable. Abandoning both samsara and nirvana, it is not related to the two extremes, that is, without object. Being the same as the realm of Dharma, it is non-different, so it is not different. Not being mixed with the discriminations of the Shravakas, etc., it is without attachment. All discriminations are the same emptiness, so it is non-discriminating. Because there is nothing to be known, it is immeasurable. Because there is no attachment to all dharmas, it is without attachment. These consciousnesses, etc., whatever opens opportunities for all sentient beings, the path that opens opportunities for all sentient beings is to attain the city of liberation. How to open opportunities for all sentient beings, as said, etc. What is wisdom, and how is it wisdom, is because it directly realizes true wisdom and is the antidote to afflictions. What is practice, and how to practice, is to cultivate the antidote of generating the mind of enlightenment, etc., to reach the ultimate, and to truly practice the mind. What is renunciation is nirvana. These are their nature, etc. The aspects of the truth of suffering are impermanent, etc., the meaning of non-existence is the meaning of impermanence, because it is said that there is no impermanence. Because it is action, it is suffering. Because it is empty of the self and so on that is completely conceived by others, it is emptiness. Because there is no person, etc., it is no-self. There are five aspects of no-characteristic, what are they? The nature is unborn, everything.

Because of the absence of inherent birth, this is the concluding statement. Because the manifestation of clinging to the eight dharmas, such as imputed self-nature, is prevented, and because of the absence of their true nature, then in order are emptiness, called emptiness; great, called great emptiness; ultimate, called ultimate emptiness; conditioned, called conditioned emptiness; unconditioned, called unconditioned emptiness; beyond extremes, called beyond extremes emptiness; without beginning or end, called without beginning or end emptiness; without abandonment, called without abandonment emptiness, these are those aspects. What is the excellent aspect? Called "other," it is the aspect of self-nature emptiness by preventing the agent who is completely conceived by the Vaibhashikas and others. In reality, because there is no action, it is because one does not observe the inner agent in Lhajin and others, and because conjecturing without seeing is too extreme. The statement "the aspect of definite emergence is explained" is the remainder. Even if delusion about the object is an aspect of knowing reality, nevertheless, external forms and so on are delusions, and their nature is imputed, which are the terms for form and so on. The characteristic is that which can become form and so on. Time is spring and so on. Those who are deluded in these, although it is not that only that itself is real, but they are truly deluded. At their cessation, all dharmas are emptiness, and that called self-nature is self-nature emptiness, and the time that is completely conceived by others, because it cannot be observed even in conventionality, and in reality, because time other than the appearance of consciousness is also unreasonable, that called unobservable is unobservable emptiness, these three aspects. That called the aspect of merely definite emergence is the aspect of nirvana itself, because there is no self-nature. The self-nature of the absence of things is one aspect of emptiness. Thus, the aspects such as these are proclaimed as sixteen. The aspect called omniscience and so on is knowing all.
