Explanation of the Fourth Chapter Explanation of the Fourth Chapter Explaining with "Three All-Knowing Ones" etc., speaking with the freedom of manifesting all aspects, what is said with "basis" etc., the antidote to all three spoken of is the basis. The aspect of wisdom of those is the distinction of the mind that focuses on it. What is the aspect of those? It is appearance. The nature of all-knowing is that wisdom knows all aspects, paths, and the basis of non-arising, therefore wisdom is threefold. If divided, it is threefold, therefore that is the threefold itself. The characteristic of such appropriateness is understood to be the general characteristic of manifesting all aspects. The meaning of the verses is the mention of "permanent" etc., grasping at permanence etc. is manifestly clinging to permanence and non-suffering etc. That itself is to be abandoned, therefore it is the unfavorable side. Its antidote is impermanence etc. The very nature of its dharma nature is the appearance of knowing, that is, of those. That is the mention of the aspects of wisdom that focus on impermanence etc., establishing the distinction of wisdom that focuses on impermanence etc. as the aspect itself, it is determined as the aspect. The characteristic in general is the sign of the object of focus by manifesting all aspects. These etc. clarify that the previously mentioned aspects are determined to be baseless aspects because of the very nature of being the object of the basis of the three all-knowing ones. In general, without mentioning the distinctions of the aspects, three aspects are shown, now it is a distinction, speaking of the absence of aspects etc. by the distinction based on the four noble truths. Starting from the absence of aspects, namely starting from the aspects of absence and non-arising, up to the end of the aspect of immovability. Calculation is saying "each truth" etc., each truth has four, namely the three truths of suffering etc. each have four, which is twelve.
