When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, having perfected the Perfection of Samadhi, even until the turning of the Wheel of Dharma, he turns the Wheel of the Unapprehendable, the Wheel of Emptiness, the Wheel of the Signless, and the Wheel of the Wishless. Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he completely knows all dharmas as being like a dream. He completely knows all dharmas as being like an echo, like a mirage, like an illusion, like a heat haze, like a magical creation. This is called the moment of mind that realizes the characteristic of realizing all dharmas as signless in a single instant, this is the third. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, how does he perfectly and truly know all dharmas as being like a dream? How does he perfectly and truly know all dharmas as being like an echo, like a mirage, like an illusion, like a heat haze, like a magical creation? The Bhagavan replied: Subhuti, in this case, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not see a dream. He does not see not seeing a dream. He does not hear an echo. He does not hear hearing an echo. He does not see a mirage. He does not see seeing a mirage. He does not see an illusion. He does not see seeing an illusion. He does not see a heat haze. He does not see seeing a heat haze. He does not see a magical creation. He does not see seeing a magical creation. Why is that? Because, the dreams of ordinary childish beings are inverted. An echo is inverted. A mirage is inverted. An illusion is inverted. A heat haze is inverted. A magical creation is inverted. An Arhat does not see a dream. He does not see seeing a dream. He does not hear an echo. He does not hear hearing an echo.

Eye-disease does not see. Seeing with eye-disease does not see. Illusion does not see. Seeing illusion does not see. Mirage does not see. Seeing mirage does not see. Emanation does not see. Seeing emanation does not see. Solitary Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Tathagata Arhats, perfectly complete Buddhas do not dream. They do not see dreams. They do not hear echoes. They do not see hearing echoes. They do not see eye-disease. They do not see seeing with eye-disease. They do not see illusion. They do not see seeing illusion. They do not see mirage. They do not see seeing mirage. They do not see emanation. They do not see seeing emanation. Why is that? Because, in this way, since it is not true, all dharmas are of the nature of non-thingness, equal to complete nirvana. Since it is not true, if all dharmas are not completely established, then when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, how could there be a concept of things, or a concept of complete establishment, or a concept of truth? That is not possible. Why is that? If one focuses on the nature of some dharma, or complete establishment, or something that has become true, then it will no longer be the Perfection of Wisdom. When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom in this way, there is no attachment to form. There is no attachment to feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness. There is no attachment to realms, sources, and dependent origination. There is no attachment to the desire realm. There is no attachment to the form realm. There is no attachment to the formless realm. There is no attachment to the Perfection of Giving. There is no attachment to the Perfection of Morality, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Meditation, and the Perfection of Wisdom. There is no attachment to inner emptiness. There is no attachment between the emptiness of the nature of non-thingness. Bodhi
