What need is there to mention anything else? If even the state of being all-knowing is not perceived, what need is there to mention attaining the state of being all-knowing? If even the Tathagata is not perceived, what need is there to mention becoming a Tathagata? If even the unborn is not perceived, what need is there to mention manifesting the unborn? If even the signs are not perceived, what need is there to mention whose body possesses the signs? If even the marks are not perceived, what need is there to mention whose body possesses the marks? Why is that? Kausika, the venerable Subhuti abides in the solitude of all phenomena, abides in the absence of objects, abides in emptiness, engages in the signless, engages in the wishless. Kausika, the abiding of the venerable Subhuti is such that even one part in a hundred of the engagement of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva in the Prajnaparamita, and the engagement in the engagement in the Prajnaparamita, is not approached. A part in a thousand, a part in a hundred thousand, number, part, enumeration, cause, and example are not approached. Why is that? Apart from the engagement of the Tathagata, whatever engagement of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva in the Prajnaparamita, whatever engagement of the Hearers, and whatever engagement of the Pratyekabuddhas, among those engagements, this engagement of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva in the Prajnaparamita is called the supreme, the excellent, the foremost, the sacred, the extraordinary, the unsurpassed, the unequaled, the equal to the unequal. Kausika, therefore, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who wishes to become the supreme of all beings should engage in this engagement in the Prajnaparamita. Why is that? Kausika, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who engages in this Prajnaparamita transcends the grounds of the Hearers and Pratyekabuddhas and enters the flawless state of a Bodhisattva.

O! Having entered the Bodhisattva flawlessly, one will perfect all the Buddha's teachings. Having perfected all the Buddha's teachings, one will attain the wisdom of all-knowingness. Having attained the wisdom of all-knowingness, having abandoned all the afflictions that connect habitual tendencies, one will become the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly complete Buddha. This is the benefit of the path of seeing. Then, from within that assembly, the gods of the Thirty-Three Realms, holding many Mandarava flowers, scattered them upon the Blessed One. They scattered them, completely scattered them, thoroughly scattered them. Six hundred monks also arose from their seats, draped their Dharma robes over one shoulder, pressed their right knees to the ground, and, with palms joined, bowed towards the Blessed One, gazing at the Blessed One without blinking, and prostrated. When those monks bowed with joined palms, by the power of the Buddha, their palms became filled with Mandarava flowers, and they scattered those Mandarava flowers upon the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly complete Buddha. They scattered them, completely scattered them, thoroughly scattered them. As they scattered, completely scattered, and thoroughly scattered in this way, they spoke these words: "Blessed One, may we, through this root of virtue, abide in the supreme state that is not the realm of activity of all Hearers and Solitary Buddhas." Having spoken thus, the Blessed One understood the thoughts of those monks, and at that time, He smiled. Such is also the Dharma nature of the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones. When He smiled in this way, from the door of the Blessed One's mouth came forth lights such as blue, yellow, red, white, lapis lazuli, crystal, and the color of silver, which in various forms filled and illuminated the three-thousand great-thousand world system with light, and then gathered back, circumambulated the Blessed One three times from the right, and finally disappeared into the crown of the Blessed One's head. Then, the venerable Ananda arose from his seat and draped his upper robe over one shoulder.

Then, kneeling on his right knee, he prostrated with his palms joined towards where the Blessed One was, and said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, the Tathāgatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas, do not smile without a cause or condition. What is the cause of smiling? What is the condition? After asking this, the Blessed One said to the venerable Ānanda: Ānanda, these sixty hundred thousand bhikṣus will manifest unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment in a kalpa like a star, and will appear in the world as Tathāgatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas named "Flower Scattering." Ānanda, the sangha of these Tathāgatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas named "Flower Scattering" will be the same, the Buddha-field will be the same, and the lifespan will also be the same, that is, one thousand years. From wherever they appear, and after appearing, they will renounce, and after renouncing, they will manifest unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment, in those places where they appear, a rain of flowers with five colors will manifestly fall. Ānanda, therefore, a bodhisattva mahāsattva, a noble one who wishes to practice conduct, should practice this prajñāpāramitā. A bodhisattva mahāsattva who wishes to practice conduct with the conduct of the Tathāgata should practice prajñāpāramitā, which is the first act of showing others the way to great bodhi. Ānanda, whatever son or daughter of good family practices this profound prajñāpāramitā, that son or daughter of good family will think like this: I have died and transmigrated from among humans and was born here, or I have died and transmigrated from the heaven of Tuṣita and was born here, and I have widely heard this profound prajñāpāramitā among humans, or in the heaven of Tuṣita
