Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are empty of consciousness. Even the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment is empty of enlightenment. How then, Blessed One, does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practice the Perfection of Wisdom? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, non-action is the practice of the Perfection of Wisdom by a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Asked: Blessed One, why is non-action the practice of the Perfection of Wisdom? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is because the Perfection of Wisdom is not apprehended, the Bodhisattva is not apprehended, the action is not apprehended, who acts, by what means acts, and upon what acts, these are not apprehended. Subhuti, whatever is acted upon is not apprehended, that is the Bodhisattva Mahasattva's practice of the Perfection of Wisdom through non-action. Asked: Blessed One, if it is so that one practices the Perfection of Wisdom through non-action, how should a newly trained Bodhisattva Mahasattva practice the Perfection of Wisdom? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, thus, a newly trained Bodhisattva Mahasattva, from the very moment of generating the first thought, should train in all dharmas being without object. Therefore, when giving alms, one should give alms in a manner of non-attachment. When guarding morality, one should guard morality in a manner of non-attachment. When practicing patience, one should practice patience in a manner of non-attachment. When exerting effort, one should exert effort in a manner of non-attachment. When entering into samadhi, one should abide in samadhi in a manner of non-attachment. When cultivating wisdom, one should cultivate wisdom in a manner of non-attachment. When meditating on inner emptiness, one should meditate on inner emptiness in a manner of non-attachment. Up to meditating on the emptiness of the nature of non-things, one should meditate on the non-thing

Oh, one should meditate on emptiness. When meditating on the four close placements of mindfulness, one should meditate on the four close placements of mindfulness in a non-objective way. When meditating on the four right abandonments, the legs of magical power, the faculties, the powers, the branches of enlightenment, and the eightfold noble path, one should meditate on the eightfold noble path in a non-objective way. When meditating on the four noble truths, the meditations, the immeasurables, the formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the nine progressive abidings in absorption, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, clairvoyance, samadhi, and the doors of dharani, one should meditate on the doors of dharani in a non-objective way. When meditating on the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the four individual perfect knowledges, great love, great compassion, and the unmixed qualities of the Buddha, one should meditate on the unmixed qualities of the Buddha in a non-objective way. Up to the point of meditating on all-knowingness, one should meditate on all-knowingness in a non-objective way. Asked: Blessed One, how much is it that becomes objective? How much is it that becomes non-objective? The Blessed One said: As long as there is duality, that much is objective. Non-duality is non-objective. Asked: Blessed One, what is meant by "two"? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, as long as it is from the eye and form to as long as it is between the mind and dharma, as long as it is between unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment and the solitary Buddha, it is between the solitary Buddha, Subhuti, these are all dual. Subhuti, as long as there is no eye and form, as long as there is not between unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment and the Buddha, these are all non-dual. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, is non-objectivity itself an object? Or is non-objectivity itself not an object? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, non-objectivity is not an object, nor is it not an object. Subhuti, however, non-objectivity is an object.

I am the equality of non-objectification. Subhuti, bodhisattvas mahasattvas should thus train in the equality of objectification and non-objectification. If a bodhisattva mahasattva who trains in the perfection of wisdom thinks that he possesses non-objectification, that is a conceptualization of non-emptiness. Question: World Honored One, if a bodhisattva mahasattva does not cling to objectification or non-objectification when practicing the perfection of wisdom, then how does a bodhisattva mahasattva perfect all the grounds by practicing the perfection of wisdom? And after perfecting all the grounds, how does one attain omniscience? The World Honored One said: Subhuti, a bodhisattva mahasattva does not perfect all the grounds by abiding in objectification when practicing the perfection of wisdom. When a bodhisattva mahasattva practices the perfection of wisdom, he cannot perfect all the grounds by abiding in objectification. Why is that? Because the perfection of wisdom is also non-objectification, enlightenment is also non-objectification, and the one who practices the perfection of wisdom is also non-objectification. Subhuti, if it is said that a bodhisattva mahasattva should thus practice the perfection of wisdom, that is a conceptualization of attachment. Question: World Honored One, if the perfection of wisdom is also non-objectification, and the one who practices towards enlightenment is also non-objectification, then how does a bodhisattva mahasattva, by practicing the perfection of wisdom, say, "This is form," "This is feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness," "This is the sense base, the realm, and dependent origination," "This is the perfection," "This is emptiness," "This is the dharma of the aspects of enlightenment," "This is the noble truth, meditation, immeasurable, and formless absorption"? "This is liberation
