It is. O Blessed One, by what reason does form also become countless, immeasurable, and boundless? Are feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness also empty, and thus countless, immeasurable, and boundless? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, form is also empty, that is, countless, immeasurable, and boundless. Feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness are also empty, that is, countless, immeasurable, and boundless. Question: O Blessed One, is it that only form is empty, and feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness are empty, or are all phenomena not empty? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, what do you think? Have I not said that all phenomena are empty? Question: O Blessed One, the Tathagata has said that all phenomena are empty, but what is emptiness? It is the extinguished, and it is also countless, it is also immeasurable, it is also boundless. O Blessed One, in emptiness, there is no perception of cessation, nor is there a perception of number, nor is there a perception of measure, nor is there a perception of limit. O Blessed One, therefore, in those dharmas, there is no distinction made by meaning or letter, which is the debate on showing the countless and so on. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is so, it is so, in those dharmas, there is no distinction to be made by meaning or letter. Subhuti, however, in the unspeakable meaning, the Tathagata speaks of inexhaustible, nameless, immeasurable, boundless, emptiness, wishlessness, unconditioned, unborn, detachment, unceasing, nirvana, etc., which are shown by the cause of the great compassion of the Tathagata, which is the answer to the debate that admits the prior. Question: O Blessed One, the nature of dharmas is taught by the Tathagata, but that nature is also unspeakable, which is very rare!

According to what I understand of the meaning spoken by the Transcendent One, O Bhagavan, all dharmas are unspeakable. The Bhagavan declared: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. Subhuti, all dharmas are unspeakable. Subhuti, that which is the unspeakability of all dharmas is emptiness, and in emptiness there is no speech whatsoever, emptiness is unspeakable. Asked: O Bhagavan, is there increase or complete decrease in the meaning of the unspeakable? The Bhagavan declared: Subhuti, it is not so. Subhuti, in the meaning of the unspeakable, there is no increase or complete decrease. Asked: O Bhagavan, if there is no increase or complete decrease in the meaning of the unspeakable, O Bhagavan, then is there also no increase or complete decrease in the perfection of generosity? Is there also no complete decrease in the perfection of morality, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom? O Bhagavan, is there also no increase or complete decrease in inner emptiness? Is there also no increase or complete decrease between outer emptiness, inner-outer emptiness, and emptiness of the essence of non-things? O Bhagavan, is there also no increase or decrease in the four mindfulnesses? Is there also no increase or decrease in the four right abandonments, the legs of magical power, the faculties, the powers, the branches of enlightenment, and the eightfold noble path? Is there also no increase or complete decrease in the noble truths, the meditations, the immeasurables, the formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the nine serial abidings, emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness? Is there also no increase or complete decrease in the superknowledges, the samadhis, and the dharani gates? The ten powers of the Tathagata and the four fearlessnesses

And, the four individually correct wisdoms, and, great love, and, great compassion, and, the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, will also not have increase and complete decrease. World Honored One, if that is the case, the six perfections will not exist. Between the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, there will be nothing. Because those dharmas do not exist, then all-knowingness will also not exist. If all-knowingness does not exist, who will manifest complete enlightenment in unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment? To say that this is a refutation of the immutable and unchanging nature of the inexpressible. // The World Honored One said: Subhuti, it is just so. It is just so, for the meaning of the inexpressible, there is no increase or complete decrease. Subhuti, if a bodhisattva mahasattva skillful in means practices in the Perfection of Wisdom, meditates on the Perfection of Wisdom, and exerts himself in the Perfection of Wisdom, he should not think, 'I am increasing through the Perfection of Wisdom.' He should not think, 'I am increasing through the Perfection of Dhyana, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Morality, and the Perfection of Generosity.' However, he should think, 'This is just a name, for example, the Perfection of Generosity, for example, the Perfection of Morality, and the Perfection of Patience, and the Perfection of Diligence, and the Perfection of Dhyana, and the Perfection of Wisdom, this is just a name.' When he practices in the Perfection of Generosity, those mental activities, those aspirations, and those roots of virtue, should all be dedicated to unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment, and, just as unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment is, so should they be dedicated, this is the answer. // He asked: World Honored One, what is unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment like? World Honored One
