Do you practice the Perfection of Wisdom up to the point of omniscience? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, that is not so. He asked: Blessed One, what is it? The emptiness of form, and its accumulation, and its decay, and its dependence, and its lack of essence, and its suchness, and its non-erroneous suchness, and its non-other suchness, and its dharmata, and its dharmadhatu, and its dharma-abiding nature, and its dharma-fixed nature, and its ultimate reality, and its inconceivable realm, do you practice the Perfection of Wisdom?

The ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great loving-kindness, great compassion, the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, and the emptiness between all aspects of knowledge, accumulation, emptiness, dependence, lack of essence, suchness, non-erroneous suchness, non-different suchness, the nature of phenomena, the realm of phenomena, the abiding nature of phenomena, the ultimate reality, the inconceivable realm—do these engage in the perfection of wisdom? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, they do not. He asked: Blessed One, if these phenomena do not engage in the perfection of wisdom, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva engage in the perfection of wisdom? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, what do you think? Do you see any phenomenon that engages in the perfection of wisdom? He asked: Blessed One, I do not. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, what do you think? Do you see such a perfection of wisdom in which a Bodhisattva Mahasattva engages? He asked: Blessed One, I do not. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, what do you think? Is there an object of focus for a phenomenon that you do not see? He asked: Blessed One, there is not. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, what do you think? Does a phenomenon that has no object of focus arise or cease? He asked: Blessed One, it does not. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, this is the acceptance of phenomena that do not arise for Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Subhuti, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who possess such a nature of acceptance are predicted by the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, to attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Subhuti, that is the ten powers, the fearlessnesses, the analytical knowledges, great loving-kindness, great compassion, the qualities of a Buddha.

It is called the path of non-mixture. A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who enters this path acts in this way, strives in this way, and makes effort in this way, will surely attain the great wisdom of unexcelled, perfect and complete enlightenment, the wisdom of all aspects. Why? Because this Bodhisattva-Mahasattva has obtained the patience with the non-arising of phenomena. Thus, until the actual realization of unexcelled, perfect and complete enlightenment, they constantly engage in it. This is called the third increase. Then, Subhuti said to the Buddha: "World Honored One, for what reason is a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva predicted to attain unexcelled, perfect and complete enlightenment for the sake of the non-arising of all phenomena?" The Buddha said: "Subhuti, it is not so." He said: "World Honored One, for what reason is a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva predicted to attain unexcelled, perfect and complete enlightenment for the sake of arising?" The Buddha said: "Subhuti, it is not so." He said: "World Honored One, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is not predicted to attain unexcelled, perfect and complete enlightenment for the sake of non-arising, nor for the sake of arising, how is a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva predicted to attain unexcelled, perfect and complete enlightenment?" The Buddha told Subhuti: "What do you think? Do you truly see any such phenomenon that can be predicted for unexcelled, perfect and complete enlightenment?" He said: "No, World Honored One. World Honored One, I do not truly see any phenomenon that can be predicted for unexcelled, perfect and complete enlightenment. World Honored One, I also do not truly see any phenomenon by which one actually realizes enlightenment, or by which one can realize enlightenment, or in which one realizes enlightenment." The Buddha said: "Subhuti, it is so, it is so. All phenomena
