And, not perceiving the absence of entities, that itself is the patience in accordance with the Bodhisattva Mahasattva. For whom there is perception of entities, and no perception of the absence of entities, that itself is the path of meditation. For whom there is perception of entities, and no perception of the absence of entities, that itself is the fruit. Subhuti, the path of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is without entities. Realization is also without entities. Subhuti, in this way, through these categories, one should also understand that all dharmas are of the nature of non-entity. Question: Bhagavan, if all dharmas are of the nature of non-entity, how can the Tathagata become perfectly enlightened to all dharmas as being of the nature of non-entity? How can those who have become perfectly enlightened Buddhas attain dominion over the realm of all dharmas? After this question, the Bhagavan said to the venerable Subhuti: Subhuti, here, in the past, when a Bodhisattva practiced the conduct of a Bodhisattva and practiced the six perfections, he was separated from desires, separated from sinful and unwholesome dharmas, possessing both investigation and analysis, and dwelt in the first dhyana, which has joy and bliss born of separation. He dwelt, having closely cultivated up to the fourth dhyana. However, I did not grasp the signs of those dhyanas and the limbs of those dhyanas, I was not proud of those dhyanas, I did not taste the flavor of dhyana, I did not focus on dhyana. Thus, I placed my mind in equanimity on the completely pure aspect of those dhyanas. Thus, having matured through those dhyanas, I directed my mind to manifest various kinds of miraculous knowledge. I directed my mind to manifest divine ear knowledge. I directed my mind to manifest knowledge of the minds of others. I directed my mind to manifest knowledge of remembering past lives. I directed my mind to manifest divine eye knowledge. However, until manifestation

Those that have manifested, do not grasp at their characteristics, do not become arrogant with those superknowledges, do not savor them, do not fixate on them. Properly recollect those five superknowledges as being like the sky, and thereby abide in equipoise. In this way, with the wisdom possessing a single instant, I manifestly and completely awakened into unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, and truly knew, 'This is suffering, this is the arising of suffering, this is the cessation of suffering, this is the path that leads to the cessation of suffering.' In this way, I became endowed with the ten powers of the Thus-Gone One, the four fearlessnesses, the four individual perfect knowledges, great loving-kindness, great compassion, and the unmixed qualities of a Buddha, and I gave predictions of the three aggregates to sentient beings. Subhuti inquired: "Blessed One, how did the Thus-Gone One, the Foe Destroyer, the Perfectly Complete Buddha, generate the four meditations of the nature of non-existence? How did he directly know the six superknowledges? And how did he generate the ten powers of the Thus-Gone One, the four fearlessnesses, the four individual perfect knowledges, great loving-kindness, great compassion, and the eighteen unmixed qualities of a Buddha? And how did he give predictions of the three aggregates to beings who are not beings?" The Blessed One said: "Subhuti, if desires and sinful, unwholesome dharmas had their own nature or entity, then, Subhuti, when I was previously practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva, I would not have cultivated and abided in the four meditations, knowing that desires are of the nature of non-entity, and that sinful, unwholesome dharmas are of the nature of non-entity. Subhuti, in this way, apart from the nature of non-entity, desires and sinful, unwholesome dharmas themselves do not exist. Subhuti, therefore, when I was previously practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva, I was separated from desires, separated from sinful, unwholesome dharmas.

In a secluded place, with both investigation and analysis, one dwells having attained the first dhyana, which possesses joy and bliss born of seclusion. One dwells having attained the near attainment up to the fourth dhyana. Subhuti, if the superknowledges had a thing, either its own nature or another's thing. Subhuti, I also, having known all superknowledges as the nature of non-things, having manifestly awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, the Tathagata, having understood all superknowledges as the nature of non-things, having manifestly awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, also prophesied the three aggregates for sentient beings. To say that is the same as the perfectly awakened Buddha having understood all superknowledges as the nature of non-things, having manifestly awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, also prophesied the three aggregates for sentient beings. To say that is a wrong conception on the path of cultivation. These have spoken of wrong conceptions. Thus, the peak realization is shown. The Holy Twenty-Five Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, following the Ornament for Clear Realization, from the accurate collation, the chapter on the Peak Realization, called the Chapter on Complete Purification of Learning, the fifth chapter is complete. Sixth, the chapter on learning through gradual entry, making the gradual clear realization the authority. The sixty-third fascicle. When this was said, the venerable Subhuti said this to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, if it is so, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, relying on the nature of all phenomena as non-things, attain perfect and complete enlightenment with the four dhyanas and five superknowledges? Blessed One, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva gradually practice, gradually learn, and gradually strive on the nature of all phenomena as non-things, and with what does he realize perfect and complete enlightenment?"
