Because they are not observed at the limit of the future. Because they are not observed in the middle, this is called the unconditioned condition. Then, the venerable Shariputra said to the Blessed One, "Blessed One, the Prajnaparamita is profound." The Blessed One said, "Shariputra, because the suchness of form is profound, the Prajnaparamita is profound. Shariputra, because the suchness of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness is profound, the Prajnaparamita is profound.

The Teacher said: Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, if he does not engage with the notion that "form is profound," then he is practicing the Perfection of Wisdom. If he does not engage with the notion that "feelings, perceptions, mental formations, and consciousness are profound," then he is practicing the Perfection of Wisdom. Similarly, if he does not engage with the notion that "realms, sources, dependent origination, perfections, factors of enlightenment, noble truths, immeasurables, meditations, formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the nine sequential abidings, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, superknowledges, all emptinesses, all dharani gates, the ten powers, fearlessnesses, individual perfect knowledges, and unshared qualities of the Buddha are profound," then he is practicing the Perfection of Wisdom. Chapter Forty-One. Why is that? Shariputra, it is because the profoundness among all the Buddha-dharmas, if one says that it is not a Buddha-dharma, that is another minor category of profound conduct. Shariputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, if he does not engage with the notion that "form is difficult to fathom," then he is practicing the Perfection of Wisdom. If he does not engage with the notion that "feelings, perceptions, mental formations, and consciousness are difficult to fathom," then he is practicing the Perfection of Wisdom. Similarly, if he does not engage with the notion that "realms, sources, dependent origination, perfections, all emptinesses, all samadhis, all dharani gates, factors of enlightenment, noble truths, immeasurables, various meditations, formless absorptions, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, superknowledges, the ten powers, fearlessnesses, individual perfect knowledges, and unshared qualities of the Buddha are difficult to fathom,"
