Furthermore, it is because of being completely transcendent from all dharmas. Subhuti asked: "Bhagavan, it is like this, the Prajnaparamita is the Paramita of Suchness." The Bhagavan said: "It is because of the Suchness spoken by all Buddhas." Subhuti asked: "Bhagavan, it is like this, the Prajnaparamita is the Paramita of Self-Arising." The Bhagavan said: "It is because of the very mastery over all dharmas." Subhuti asked: "Bhagavan, it is like this, the Prajnaparamita is the Paramita of the Buddha." The Bhagavan said: "It is because of the complete and perfect enlightenment of all dharmas in every way, which is said to be the aspect that relies on the Omniscience itself. These are the aspects that have been spoken." Then, Indra, the lord of the gods, thought to himself: "Those sons or daughters of good family who hear this Prajnaparamita have also attended to the Buddhas of the past. Those sentient beings who hear this Prajnaparamita have also planted roots of virtue with the Tathagata. Those sentient beings who hear this Prajnaparamita are also embraced by virtuous spiritual friends. What need is there to mention those who will hold, recite, properly contemplate, and having held, recited, and fully understood, will truly practice it? Whatever son or daughter of good family, having heard this Prajnaparamita, will hold, recite, fully understand, properly contemplate, and having held, recited, and fully understood, will also truly practice it, these are those who have attended to many Buddhas. Whatever son or daughter of good family, having heard this Prajnaparamita, will not be afraid, will not be terrified, will not be seized by terror."

Those who do not change are those who have fully inquired, fully requested, relied upon and revered the Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly enlightened Buddhas of the past. Those who, having heard this Prajnaparamita, do not become alarmed, do not become universally frightened, do not become seized by universal fear, are those who have practiced generosity paramita, morality paramita, patience paramita, diligence paramita, and meditation paramita from many billions of Buddhas. Those are those who have practiced Prajnaparamita from many billions of Buddhas. After thinking this, the venerable Shariputra said to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, whatever son of good family or daughter of good family, having heard this Prajnaparamita, so profound, does not become alarmed, does not become universally frightened, does not become seized by universal fear, and having heard it, also holds it, also recites it, also reads it, also completely understands it, and properly attends to it, those sons of good family or daughters of good family should be regarded as irreversible Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas. What is the reason for this? Bhagavan, it is because this Prajnaparamita is profound. Those who have not previously practiced the six paramitas are not able to have faith in this profound Prajnaparamita. Bhagavan, whatever son of good family or daughter of good family, having heard this profound Prajnaparamita, thinks that it should be abandoned, those sons of good family or daughters of good family have even abandoned this profound Prajnaparamita in the past. What is the reason for this? It is because, like this, whatever son of good family or daughter of good family does not have faith in this profound Prajnaparamita, does not have extreme joy, does not have delight, does not have faith. How would those sons of good family or daughters of good family practice generosity paramita towards the Buddhas, or the Bodhisattvas, or the Pratyekabuddhas, or the Shravakas?

How should one practice? How should one practice the perfection of discipline? How should one practice the perfection of patience? How should one practice the perfection of diligence? How should one practice the perfection of meditation? How should one practice the perfection of wisdom? How should one practice inner emptiness? How should one practice outer emptiness? How should one practice inner and outer emptiness? How should one practice between the emptiness of the nature of non-things? How should one meditate on the mindfulnesses? How should one meditate on the right abandonments, the miraculous feet, the faculties, the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, and the eightfold noble path? How should one meditate on the immeasurables, the meditations, and the formless attainments? How should one meditate on the noble truths? How should one meditate on the eight liberations? How should one meditate on the nine successive abiding attainments? How should one meditate on emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness? How should one meditate on the superknowledges? How should one enter into samadhis? How should one enter into the doors of dharanis? How should one meditate on the powers of the Tathagata? How should one meditate on the fearlessnesses? How should one meditate on the individual perfect knowledges? How should one meditate on the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha? These were not fully asked. Then, the lord of the gods, Indra, said this to the venerable Shariputra: Venerable Shariputra, if the perfection of wisdom is so profound, what is more wonderful than that a Bodhisattva Mahasattva has not believed in this profound perfection of wisdom even in the past? The perfection of generosity, the perfection of discipline, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and wisdom
