又,听法者是具有信心和善法的,想要请问这甚深般若波罗蜜多,想要受持,想要读诵。说法者是没有信心、不善法的,不想要请问这甚深般若波罗蜜多,不想要受持,不想要读诵。须菩提,这也是菩萨摩诃萨所应知的魔业。须菩提,再者,说法者是具有信心和善法的,想要书写这甚深般若波罗蜜多,并且为了义利而受持。听法者是没有信心、不善法的,不想要书写这甚深般若波罗蜜多,并且不为了义利而受持。须菩提,这也是菩萨摩诃萨所应知的魔业。这是说,不具备善与不善的法性。须菩提,再者,说法者是完全施舍一切财物,并且心中没有贪执,而听法者是悭吝、贪欲大、喜欢罪恶,想要把利养、恭敬、尊重、法衣、饮食、卧具、医药、资具当作最上。须菩提,这也是不具备请问、受持、读诵这甚深般若波罗蜜多的因缘。须菩提,这也是菩萨摩诃萨所应知的魔业。须菩提,再者,听法者是完全施舍一切财物,并且心中没有贪执,而说法者是悭吝、吝啬。须菩提,这也是不具备请问、受持、读诵这甚深般若波罗蜜多的因缘。这也是菩萨摩诃萨所应知的魔业。这是说,不具备施舍和悭吝。须菩提,再者,听法者对于说法者,法衣、饮食、卧具、医药、资具完全

The speaker of the Dharma is one who lacks faith and has unwholesome qualities, not desiring to inquire about this profound Prajnaparamita, not desiring to receive it, not desiring to recite it. Subhuti, this too should be recognized as the work of Mara by a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Furthermore, Subhuti, the speaker of the Dharma is one who has faith and virtuous qualities, desiring to write this profound Prajnaparamita, and desiring to grasp it for the sake of meaning. The listener of the Dharma is one who lacks faith and has unwholesome qualities, not desiring to write this profound Prajnaparamita, and not desiring to grasp it for the sake of meaning. Subhuti, this too should be recognized as the work of Mara by a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. This is to say, it does not possess the nature of being assembled with good and non-good qualities. Furthermore, Subhuti, the speaker of the Dharma is one who completely gives away all possessions and has no attachment in his mind, while the listener of the Dharma is stingy, has great desires, delights in sin, and desires to regard gain, respect, honor, Dharma robes, alms, bedding, medicine for sickness, and provisions as supreme. Subhuti, this too does not possess the causes and conditions for inquiring about, receiving, and reciting this profound Prajnaparamita. Subhuti, this too should be recognized as the work of Mara by a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Furthermore, Subhuti, the listener of the Dharma is one who completely gives away all possessions and has no attachment in his mind, while the speaker of the Dharma is stingy and miserly. Subhuti, this too does not possess the causes and conditions for inquiring about, receiving, and reciting this profound Prajnaparamita. This too should be recognized as the work of Mara by a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. This is to say, it does not possess generosity and stinginess. Furthermore, Subhuti, the listener of the Dharma completely [provides] the speaker of the Dharma with Dharma robes, food, bedding, medicine for sickness, and provisions.

Furthermore, Subhuti, if the Dharma speaker understands through introductory remarks, and the listener understands through elaboration and clings to words, then, Subhuti, this also lacks the causes and conditions for questioning, upholding, and reciting this profound Perfection of Wisdom. Subhuti, this should also be recognized as the work of Mara by the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Furthermore, Subhuti, if the listener understands through introductory remarks, and the Dharma speaker understands through elaboration and clings to words, then, Subhuti, this will also lack the causes and conditions for questioning, upholding, and reciting this profound Perfection of Wisdom. Subhuti, this should also be recognized as the work of Mara by the Bodhisattva- Mahasattva. Therefore, it is said that understanding through introductory remarks and understanding through elaboration is not a complete assembly. Furthermore, Subhuti, if the Dharma speaker knows the distinctions of the Dharma, such as sutras, geyas, vyakaranas, gathas, udanas, nidanas, avadanas, jatakas, vaipulyas, adbhuta-dharmas, avavadakas, and upadesas, but the listener does not know sutras, geyas, vyakaranas, gathas, udanas, nidanas, avadanas, such as avadanas
