Were any beings, any sentient beings, taken from the hells, the animal realm, and the world of Yama by that disciple of the illusionist? He replied: Blessed One, there were not. The Blessed One said: Similarly, Subhuti, even though a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva completely liberates immeasurable, countless sentient beings in the ten directions from the three lower realms, no sentient being has been completely liberated. Why is that? Subhuti, if one apprehends the nature of illusion, then the nature of phenomena is such. Subhuti, therefore, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is said to have donned great armor, which is called the accumulation of compassion. The accumulation of generosity. Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva has donned great armor, abiding in the perfection of generosity, he manifests the realm of the three-thousand great-thousand world system as being made of vaidurya. Having manifested it as being made of vaidurya, he manifests the array of a Chakravartin. Having manifested the array of a Chakravartin, he gives the gift of food to those who desire food. To those who desire drink, he gives drink. To those who desire vehicles, he gives vehicles. To those who desire clothing, he gives clothing. To those who desire flowers, he gives flowers. To those who desire garlands, he gives garlands. To those who desire incense, he gives incense. To those who desire ointment, he gives ointment. To those who desire bedding, he gives bedding. To those who desire houses, he gives houses. To those who desire livelihood, he gives livelihood. To those who desire utensils, he gives utensils. To those who desire medicine and utensils for illness, he gives the gift of medicine and utensils for illness. To those who desire jewels, pearls, vaidurya, conch shells, manas, coral, gold, and silver, he gives the gift of jewels, pearls, vaidurya, conch shells, manas, coral, gold, and silver, and he gives gifts of whatever human necessities there may be. In this way, having given food to those who desire food, and having given gifts of whatever human necessities there may be, he teaches the Dharma to those sentient beings, which is this:

Shows, this is to show the Dharma that possesses the six perfections. Those sentient beings, having heard this Dharma teaching, will never be separated from the six perfections until they have not attained the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Subhuti, for example, a magician or a wise apprentice of a magician, dwells at the crossroads of a great road, and in front of a gathering of many beings, manifests a gathering of many beings, giving food to those who desire food, and even giving whatever human necessities. Subhuti, what do you think of this? Does the magician or the wise apprentice of the magician give anything to any sentient being? He replied: World Honored One, that is not so. The World Honored One said: Subhuti, in the same way, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva manifests the splendor of a Chakravartin, giving food to those who desire food, and even giving whatever human necessities, but does not give anything to any sentient being. Why is that? Subhuti, they are abiding in the Dharma-nature of illusion, because the Dharma-nature of all Dharmas is such. Subhuti, such a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is called one who has put on great armor, this is the accumulation of giving. The accumulation of morality. Subhuti, furthermore, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abides in the perfection of morality, and specifically thinking and taking birth, therefore is born into the family of a Chakravartin, and abiding in the power of that Chakravartin, he thoroughly establishes sentient beings in the path of the ten virtuous actions. The four meditations, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, the Dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment, and even the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared Dharmas of the Buddha, he thoroughly establishes sentient beings in them, until those sentient beings have not attained the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, they will never be separated from this Dharma teaching.
