That which is decline is not the emptiness of the nature of non-things. Thus, the emptiness of the nature of non-things and decline are not two, and cannot be made two. Why is that? World-Honored One, decline is not one, not two, not many, not different. Therefore, that which is the decline of the emptiness of the nature of non-things is not the emptiness of the nature of non-things. World-Honored One, the decline of the four mindfulnesses is not the four mindfulnesses. Thus, the four mindfulnesses and decline are not two, and cannot be made two. Why is that? World-Honored One, decline is not one, not two, not many, not different. Therefore, that which is the decline of the four mindfulnesses is not the four mindfulnesses. World-Honored One, the decline of the four right abandonments, the feet of miraculous power, the faculties, the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, and the eightfold noble path is not the eightfold noble path. Thus, the eightfold noble path and decline are not two, and cannot be made two. Why is that? World-Honored One, decline is not one, not two, not many, not different. Therefore, that which is the decline of the eightfold noble path is not the eightfold noble path. World-Honored One, the decline of meditation, the immeasurable, the formless attainments, the ten powers of the Tathagata, fearlessness, separate correct knowledge, and the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha is not the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha. Thus, the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha and decline are not two, and cannot be made two. Why is that? World-Honored One, decline is not one, not two, not many, not different.

Therefore, the decrease of the unmixed Dharmas of the Buddha is not the unmixed Dharmas of the Buddha. O Blessed One, the decrease up to the state of omniscience is not the state of omniscience. Thus, the state of omniscience and the decrease are not two; they cannot be made into two. Why is that? O Blessed One, it is because the decrease is not one, not two, not many, not different. Therefore, the decrease of the state of omniscience is not the state of omniscience. O Blessed One, whatever is called "form" is considered a designation of the Dharma that is not two. Whatever is called "feeling," "perception," "formations," and "consciousness" is considered a designation of the Dharma that is not two. Whatever is from not cherishing up to the state of omniscience is considered a designation of the Dharma that is not two. This refers to the negation of the relationship between what is to be obtained and the act of obtaining from the inevitable arising of attainment. Then, the venerable Śāriputra said to the venerable Subhūti: "Venerable Subhūti, when a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, how does he fully understand these Dharmas? Venerable Subhūti, what is the Perfection of Wisdom of a Bodhisattva? What is the full understanding?" After he said this, the venerable Subhūti said to the venerable Śāriputra: "Venerable Śāriputra, whatever is said as 'Bodhisattva,' it is called Bodhisattva because sentient beings themselves are Bodhi. That Bodhi also understands the nature of all Dharmas, and there is no attachment to those Dharmas. What Dharmas does he understand the nature of? He understands the nature of form, and there is no attachment to it. He understands the nature of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, and there is no attachment to it. He understands the sense bases and the realms.

I know the aspects of dependent arising, both individually and collectively, and I have no attachment to them. I know the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and I have no attachment to them. I know the meditative stabilizations of absorption, the immeasurables, the formless realms, and the perfections, as well as the ten powers of the Tathagata, the fearlessnesses, the individual perfect knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, and I have no attachment to them. Said: Venerable Subhuti, what is the aspect of all dharmas? Subhuti said: Venerable Sariputra, by which aspects, which characteristics, and which signs does one grasp form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and dharmas, or internal dharmas, external dharmas, conditioned or unconditioned, those are called the aspects of all dharmas. Venerable Sariputra, if someone says, what is the Perfection of Wisdom? Venerable Sariputra, where is the Perfection of Wisdom, that is the noble one who is far gone and brings joy, therefore it is called the Perfection of Wisdom. Where is the noble one who is far gone and brings joy? Venerable Sariputra, the noble one who is far gone and brings joy from the aggregates is called the Perfection of Wisdom. Far gone and brings joy from the sense bases and elements. Therefore, it is called gone beyond. Far gone and brings joy from dependent arising. Far gone and brings joy from all afflictions and all aspects of views, and from the poison of beings. Therefore, it is called gone beyond. Far gone and brings joy from the Perfection of Giving. Therefore, it is called far gone. Far gone and brings joy from the Perfection of Ethics and the Perfection of Patience, and the Perfection of Diligence and the Perfection of Meditation, and the Perfection of Wisdom. Therefore, it is called far gone. Far gone and brings joy from inner emptiness.
