And it is formed from various precious jewels, the fragrance of that tree is fragrant, and the beautiful light fills and expands to the boundless realms of the world, that is the perfect adornment of the Bodhi field of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. So, what is the complete perfection of all the qualities of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva? The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva completely matures and purifies sentient beings, and the Buddha-land is pure, that is the complete perfection of all the qualities of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. So, what does it mean that a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abiding on the tenth bhumi is called Tathagata? The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who has perfected all the paramitas, as well as the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, the wisdom of all-knowingness, has abandoned all defilements connected by habitual tendencies, great compassion, and has also perfected all the Buddha-dharmas. Subhuti, in this way, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abiding on the tenth bhumi is called Tathagata. Subhuti, so what is the tenth bhumi of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva? Subhuti, in this way, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva skillfully practices the paramitas, as well as all emptiness, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the noble truths, the dhyanas, the four immeasurables, the formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, the superknowledges, the samadhis, the dharani gates, the powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, the lineage bhumi, the eighth bhumi,

The ground of ordinary beings, the thin ground, the ground free from desire, the ground of understanding actions, the ground of hearers, the ground of solitary buddhas, and the ground of bodhisattvas, having completely transcended these grounds. Subhuti, thus the bodhisattva mahasattva, having completely transcended the ninth ground, abides in the ground of the Buddha. Subhuti, this is the tenth ground of the bodhisattva mahasattva. Subhuti, thus the bodhisattva mahasattva should be known to have truly entered the Great Vehicle, this is called the collection of grounds. The collection of antidotes. Subhuti, what you said, "From where does the Great Vehicle definitely arise?" refers to definitely arising from the three realms in an invisible manner. It will abide in all-knowingness. Why is that? Subhuti, because in this way, whatever is the Great Vehicle, and whatever is all-knowingness, those two dharmas are neither concordant nor discordant, formless, unteachable, unobstructed, of one characteristic, namely, without characteristics. Why is that? Subhuti, the dharma without characteristics neither definitely arises, nor will arise, nor does not arise. Subhuti, whoever thinks that dharmas without characteristics definitely arise, that is merely thinking that the realm of dharma definitely arises. Subhuti, whoever thinks that dharmas without characteristics definitely arise, that is merely thinking that the thusness definitely arises. Subhuti, whoever thinks that dharmas without characteristics definitely arise, that is merely thinking that the limit of reality definitely arises. Subhuti, whoever thinks that dharmas without characteristics definitely arise, that is merely thinking that the inconceivable realm definitely arises. Subhuti, whoever thinks that dharmas without characteristics definitely arise, that is merely thinking that the realm of space definitely arises. Subhuti, whoever thinks that dharmas without characteristics definitely arise, that is merely thinking that the realm of freedom from desire definitely arises. It is merely wishing to arise definitively from the realm free from attachment. Subhuti, whoever wishes to arise definitively from the dharmas without characteristics, that is merely wishing to arise definitively from the realm of cessation. Subhuti, whoever wishes to arise definitively from the dharmas without characteristics, that is merely wishing to arise definitively from the emptiness of form. Subhuti, whoever wishes to arise definitively from the dharmas without characteristics, that is merely wishing to arise definitively from the emptiness of feeling, the emptiness of perception, the emptiness of formations, and the emptiness of consciousness. Why is that? Subhuti, the emptiness of form does not arise definitively from the three realms, nor does it abide in the all-knowingness. The emptiness of feeling, the emptiness of perception, the emptiness of formations, and the emptiness of consciousness do not arise definitively from the three realms, nor do they abide in the all-knowingness. Why is that? Thus, form is empty by form. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are empty by consciousness. Subhuti, whoever wishes to arise definitively from the dharmas without characteristics, that is merely wishing to arise definitively from the emptiness of the eye. Subhuti, whoever wishes to arise definitively from the dharmas without characteristics, that is merely wishing to arise definitively from the emptiness of the ear, the emptiness of the nose, the emptiness of the tongue, the emptiness of the body, and the emptiness of the mind.
