Such direct knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements is not aimed at, in order to manifest the direct knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements. That is, without aiming at omniscience itself, one does not even generate the thought of the wisdom of the exhaustion of defilements, or the thought of directly accomplishing the direct realization of the wisdom of the exhaustion of defilements. Thus, Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he is directly accomplishing the direct knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements to be attained. Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva thus practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he perfects and purifies the six superknowledges. Shariputra, with the perfection and purification of superknowledge, one establishes omniscience itself. Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, abiding in the Perfection of Generosity, because of emptiness that transcends extremes, there is no clinging to phenomena, and there are also those who train in the path of omniscience. Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, abiding in the Perfection of Ethics, because of emptiness that transcends extremes, being free from transgressions and non-transgressions, there are also those who train in the path of omniscience. Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, abiding in the Perfection of Patience, because of emptiness that transcends extremes, there is no disturbance, and there are also those who train in the path of omniscience. Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, abiding in the Perfection of Diligence, because of emptiness that transcends extremes, the diligence of body and mind is undiminished, and there are also those who train in the path of omniscience. Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, abiding in the Perfection of Concentration, because of emptiness that transcends extremes,

Because the mind is completely free from distraction, there are also those who train in the path of all-knowingness. Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, abiding in the Perfection of Wisdom, through emptiness that transcends limits, completely abandoning the mind of perverse wisdom, therefore, there are also those who train in the path of all-knowingness. Shariputra, thus, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, abiding in the six perfections, through emptiness that transcends limits, because there is no coming and no going, and because there is no grasping, it is the complete training in the path of all-knowingness. Among them, generosity is established in dependence on grasping. Discipline is established in dependence on perverse discipline. Patience is established in dependence on impatience. Diligence is established in dependence on laziness. Concentration is established in dependence on non-concentration. Wisdom is established in dependence on perverse wisdom. Therefore, there is no pride in having transcended, no pride in not having transcended, no pride in generosity and grasping, no pride in discipline and perverse discipline, no pride in patience and anger, no pride in diligence and laziness, no pride in concentration and non-concentration, no pride in wisdom and perverse wisdom, no pride in someone insulting me, no pride in someone prostrating to me, no pride in someone respecting me, no pride in someone not respecting me. Why is that? Shariputra, for the unborn, there is no pride in "someone insulting me," no pride in "someone prostrating to me," no pride in "someone respecting me," no pride in "someone not respecting me." Why is that? Because in this way, the Perfection of Wisdom is the cause of completely practicing all pride. Shariputra.

Here, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, the qualities they possess are not found in any Shravakas or Pratyekabuddhas. When they perfect these qualities, they also bring all sentient beings to complete maturity, they also purify the Buddha-fields completely, and they also attain complete omniscience. Shariputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, they generate an equanimous mind towards all sentient beings. Having generated an equal mind towards all sentient beings, they thoroughly attain the equality of all dharmas. Having thoroughly attained the equality of all dharmas, they thoroughly establish all sentient beings in the equality of all dharmas. In this very life, they are also cherished and approached by the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and are also pleasing and approachable to all Bodhisattvas, all Shravakas, and all Pratyekabuddhas. In whatever birth they are born, in each and every one of those, their eyes will never see unpleasant forms. Their ears will not hear unpleasant sounds. Their noses will not sense unpleasant odors. Their tongues will not taste unpleasant flavors. Their bodies will not touch unpleasant tactile sensations. Their minds will not cognize unpleasant dharmas. Shariputra, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom in this way will not regress from unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. When this Perfection of Wisdom was taught, three hundred monks offered their upper garments to the Bhagavat as a gift and generated the mind for unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. Then, at that time, the Bhagavat smiled. Then, the venerable Ananda rose from his seat, draped his upper robe over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, facing the Bhagavat, bowed with his palms joined, and said to the Bhagavat: "Bhagavat, the Tathagatas, the Arhats, the perfectly and completely enlightened Buddhas are
