It is called emptiness of non-abandonment. What is the emptiness of non-abandonment? There is no abandonment for any dharma. The meaning of abandonment is: abandonment, rejection, and letting go. Because for it, there is no permanence and no destruction, therefore non-abandonment is empty by non-abandonment. Why? Because its nature is such. This is called the emptiness of non-abandonment. What is emptiness of self-nature? Whether it is conditioned or unconditioned, the self-nature of all dharmas is not made by the Shravakas, not made by the Pratyekabuddhas, and not made by the Tathagata Arhat Samyaksambuddhas. Because for it, there is no permanence and no destruction, therefore self-nature is empty by self-nature. Why? Because its nature is such. This is called the emptiness of self-nature. What is the emptiness of all dharmas? All dharmas means: form, feeling, perception, formation, consciousness, as well as eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind, as well as form, sound, smell, taste, touch, dharma, as well as eye consciousness, ear consciousness, nose consciousness, tongue consciousness, body consciousness, mind consciousness, as well as eye contact, ear contact, nose contact, tongue contact, body contact, mind contact, as well as the feeling born from eye contact, the feeling born from ear contact, the feeling born from nose contact, the feeling born from tongue contact, the feeling born from body contact, the feeling born from mind contact, as well as form dharmas, formless dharmas, conditioned dharmas, unconditioned dharmas, these are called all dharmas. Because for it, there is no permanence and no destruction, therefore all dharmas are empty by all dharmas. Why? Because its nature is such.

Therefore, this is called the emptiness of all dharmas. What is the emptiness of own-nature? Form is the characteristic of disintegration. Feeling is the characteristic of experiencing. Perception is the characteristic of grasping. Formation is the characteristic of manifest formation. Consciousness is the characteristic of distinguishing. Therefore, since there is no permanence or destruction, whatever is the characteristic of conditioned dharmas, and whatever is the characteristic of unconditioned dharmas, the own-nature of those dharmas is empty by its own-nature. Why is that? Because their own-nature is such. This is called the emptiness of own-nature. What is the emptiness of non-apprehension? That in which the past is not apprehended, the future is not apprehended, and the present is not apprehended. Why is that? In the past, the future is not apprehended. In the future, the past is not apprehended. In the present, neither the past nor the future is apprehended. In the past and future, the present is not apprehended. Since there is no permanence or destruction, those non-apprehensions are empty by non-apprehension. Why is that? Because their own-nature is such. This is called the emptiness of non-apprehension. What is the emptiness of the nature of non-entity? The nature of dharmas arising from combination does not exist, because they arise dependently. Since there is no permanence or destruction, combination is empty by combination. Why is that? Because their own-nature is such. This is called the emptiness of the nature of non-entity. Sixteenth fascicle. What is the emptiness of entity? The term "entity" refers to the aggregates of the appropriator. Since there is no permanence or destruction, that entity is also empty by entity. Why is that? Because their own-nature is such. This is called the emptiness of entity. What is the emptiness of non-entity? The term "non-entity" refers to the unconditioned. Since there is no permanence or destruction,

That which is without things is also empty because of the absence of things. Why is that? Because that is its nature. This is called the emptiness of no things. What is its own nature emptiness? Its own nature is the nature of non-perversion, because it is not made by knowledge and seeing. Because there is no permanence and no destruction, its own nature is empty by its own nature. Why is that? Because that is its nature. This is called the emptiness of own nature. What is the emptiness of other's nature? Whether the Tathagatas appear or not, the Dharma nature of all Dharmas abides, as well as the Dharma realm, as well as the Dharma determination, as well as Suchness, as well as non-other Suchness, as well as what is the true limit, these are abiding, not made by others. Because there is no permanence and no destruction, it is empty by it. Why is that? Because that is its nature. This is called the emptiness of other's nature.
