These are expressed in worldly terms for the purpose of grasping them. Those who are designated as Hearers, and those who know the wisdom and vision of knowing all aspects, should not be understood through understanding, but through practice. Starting from "not being attached to desire, nor detached from desire," subduing afflictions is the so-called noble Dharma subduing. Starting from "not possessing the four dhyanas, nor being detached from the four dhyanas," one neither possesses nor does not possess all the dharmas of realization. Why is that? Because all those dharmas are formless, invisible, unimpeded, thus, characterized by no characteristic, which is the only characteristic. They are neither together nor separate from formlessness, invisibility, and so on, and formlessness, invisibility, and so on. This is explained through reasonable grounds. Misunderstanding the characteristics is that if one learns the Prajnaparamita of the one characteristic that is formless, invisible, unimpeded, and characterized by no characteristic, because the characteristics of all dharmas are unobtainable, then one must learn the characteristics of all dharmas, then the activities of Hearers and so on cannot be transcended. All dharmas are without characteristics, and one should not learn non-characteristics with the characteristics of formlessness, invisibility, and unimpededness. Why is that? Because if what was previously without characteristics later becomes with characteristics, that is not possible. Therefore, through reasonable grounds, the learning of characteristics and non-characteristics is prohibited. Why is that? Because whether the Tathagatas appear or do not appear, the nature of non-characteristics remains as it is. This is explained through reasonable grounds. Misunderstanding the path of meditation is that if all dharmas are the one characteristic characterized by no characteristic, then by meditating on it, it is not appropriate to meditate on the Prajnaparamita, therefore, after transcending the activities of Hearers and so on, entering the flawless state of Bodhisattvas and so on is impossible, because both characteristics and different characteristics are prohibited, so

Thus, meditating is shown to be without characteristics. "What is it like?" is the question. Meditating on form in this way, meditating is indeed the Perfection of Wisdom. Likewise, feelings and so on, forms and so on, eye consciousness and so on, their combined contact and so on, feelings due to their cause and so on, the six elements of earth and so on, dependent origination, its branches of sorrow and so on, accomplishment, the characteristics of abandonment, taking and abandoning, the meditations of the first dhyana and so on, loving-kindness, compassion, joy, equanimity, the formless absorptions, from the six recollections onwards, the recollections of means, impermanence, suffering, the perception of selflessness, the perception of self and sentient beings and so on, permanence and impermanence, happiness and suffering, peace and non-peace, mindfulness and so on, the aspects of enlightenment, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, the hundred liberations, the nine progressive abidings, with investigation and analysis, with only analysis and no investigation, and the samadhi of neither investigation nor analysis, the four noble truths of suffering, origin, cessation, and path, the knowledge of exhaustion and non-arising, dharma and following, conventional and familiar, knowing as it sounds, the perfections, all emptiness, clairvoyance, samadhi, the doors of dharani, powers, fearlessnesses, individual perfect knowledge, the unmixed qualities of the Buddha, all dharani and samadhi doors, great loving-kindness, great compassion, the fruits of stream-entry and so on, self-enlightenment, and omniscience, meditating on the abandonment of all afflictions connected by habitual tendencies, meditating in this way is indeed meditating on the Perfection of Wisdom.

What is said is that, in order to briefly summarize the essence of the three aspects of omniscience, and to have the power of vast realization. In order to understand the path of meditation as shown. Mentioning proper meditation is for the sake of truly understanding the nature of the path of meditation. Mentioning the many differences between the general characteristics and the specific characteristics of form, etc., is to understand them as the objects of the path of meditation. If asked, how is it? The answer is: such as the form, etc., that has been spoken of, and all omniscience, because there is no cultivation of the habits of the opposing side, etc., therefore, the absence of reality is widely shown. Why is that? Because, Subhuti! Those who have the thought of reality do not cultivate prajnaparamita. Why is that? Because, how can one grasp reality as the self, and cling to the two extremes. When asking about the characteristics of reality and non-reality for those who have not cultivated all the antidotes, it shows that the two have the characteristics of duality, and asks about two and non-two, and from the idea of form to the idea of the realm of conditioned and unconditioned, it shows two and non-two in order, and says: As much as there is duality, there is reality. As much as there is reality, there is conditioned. As much as there is conditioned, that much sentient beings cannot be liberated from the suffering of those who have virtuous roots. Those who have the thought of duality do not have all the pure dharmas such as generosity. If that is the case, then those who have the thought of non-reality will not have all the pure dharmas either. Subhuti! That's how it is. As promised, the Bodhisattva of Prajnaparamita shows the path of forbearance and the result by preventing all thoughts of reality and non-reality, therefore, the path and All kinds of dharmas of the nature of non-discrimination from reality, because they are the nature of non-reality, are the meaning of knowing that the wisdom of realization and the object of focus have no other dharmas.
