Fifth, the time of the Peak Realization. Fifth, the time of the Peak Realization. Explanation of the aspects of signs. Having shown the complete realization of all aspects, now I will speak of the realization of the peak. In this regard, first, I will speak of the signs by which it can be symbolized. What are these signs like? As it is taught: "Even in dreams, all phenomena, Are seen as dreamlike and so on, The signs of the yoga that has reached the peak, Are understood to be twelve in number." This is what is to be shown. The first sign is: that even in dreams, all phenomena are seen as dreamlike. This is what is to be shown. The sutra for this is: Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, even in dreams, sees all phenomena as dreamlike, and likewise sees all phenomena as similar to reflections, mirages, apparitions, illusions, and cities of gandharvas, and does not fixate on them, then it should be known that this is the characteristic of not turning back from the peak. This is what was said. What does this mean? It means that in this way, a Bodhisattva who is completely mastered by skillful means and wisdom, having attained the peak by meditating on the Dharma of yoga, even in dreams, has the mindfulness to certainly see this yoga, and therefore abides in being concerned with the realm of sentient beings. This is also taught in other sutras. The second sign is that one does not generate the mind to abandon the grounds of the Hearers and so on, and the mind to abandon the three realms, and the mind of joy. This is what is to be shown. The third sign is that one sees the Tathagata surrounded by a great retinue, and follows the Dharma in order to teach the holy Dharma. This is what is to be shown. The fourth sign is that one is able to see the various miraculous transformations manifested by the Buddha. This is what is to be shown. The fifth sign is that, for all fearful places, one generates a mind of compassion that gathers together by teaching the Dharma of the three realms as dreamlike. This is what is to be shown. The sixth sign is that, having seen sentient beings suffering in hells and so on, one remembers that one must abandon the lower realms in one's own Buddha-field.

No. Why is that? The culminating realization is that samsara and dreams, and what dreams are, are non-dual and indivisible. It is taught that this is because thought cannot differentiate them. Seventh, when a city, etc., is burned by fire in a dream-awakened state, it can be completely pacified by the blessing of truth, and therefore it is irreversible. And the fact that one aspect of it cannot be pacified is because one has committed the act of abandoning the Dharma. Some houses are burned and some are not, indicating that the karma of those sentient beings has ripened in this life. Eighth, in the case of being blessed by non-humans, in order to dispel it, the blessing of irreversible truth brings prosperity. And being blessed by demons and then dispelling it is characterized by the arising of pride in oneself and the contempt of other Bodhisattvas. Why is that? Because it is not fully grasped by skillful means. The demon speaks of his name and lineage, etc., but does not understand that this is deceptive language. Moreover, the demon claims as his own the deceptive words that he himself has devised. Even more than the four defeats and the five inexpiable sins, the arrogance of showing off one's name is an extremely heavy karma. Moreover, the demon shows the qualities of solitude, because the Bhagavan allows the minds of the Shravakas, etc., to be in solitude. Ninth, one should abandon those who have the pride of realization, and one should strive for one's own benefit, etc., and suppress others with one's own direct knowledge. One should know that a virtuous friend is the cause of attaining all Dharmas. The perfections and the aspects of enlightenment have become virtuous friends. It is taught that the purpose is to know that they are the path to attaining virtuous Dharma. Tenth, if one wants to perfect all the desired realizations, one should study this Prajnaparamita, for this scripture extensively teaches all Dharmas. Eleventh, the Prajnaparamita is as vast as the sky.
