Having abandoned the distractions of a wandering mind, having transcended the stages of the Hearers and so forth, holding ever more purely body and mind, and having become the very cause; not being zealous for gain and honor and so forth; properly taking up and practicing the twelve qualities of purification; not generating miserliness and so forth, which are contrary to the perfections; because of firm and profound intelligence, when listening to the Dharma from others, because it is the union of the nature of reality, properly accomplishing the yoga of the Perfection of Wisdom; furthermore, the Evil One conjures up the eight great hot hells, and sentient beings fall into the lower realms, and are constantly dominated by the feeling of suffering unbearable misery: this is the prediction that the Bodhisattva will not turn back. When this is taught and explained, without agitation of mind, saving all beings, from the Unsurpassed Perfect Complete Enlightenment, the state belonging to the summit is that of non-reversal of mind. Furthermore, the Evil One comes into the presence of the Bodhisattva in the guise of a renunciate, beginning with 'Thus he says,' even if another path has been shown, one does not go into trusting others, like an Arhat Bhikshu. Why is that? Like this, Whatever he trusts, he does not see any of the dharmas of beings properly, and so forth, this is reasonable. Furthermore, when the Evil One shows an image of the path, such as the perception of a heap of bones, in the form of a worldly person, because he understands 'This is the Evil One,' he does not generate the thought of completely abandoning all sentient beings, therefore it belongs to the stage of patience. Because the Perfection of Wisdom is inseparable from attention, abiding in accordance with the conduct truly spoken by the Thus-Gone One, from the Perfection of Giving and so forth up to Omniscience itself, with the thought of never diminishing, this is called the supreme state of Dharma. In order to remember the meaning of this sutra, which is extensively explained in prose, the verses that summarize the closely related points are six: form and so forth, cessation and so forth, sign.
