Absence of birth is the nature of Dharma. The Suchness of equality in the three times is naturally Nirvana. Similarly, the Suchness of the aggregates, the Suchness of the elements and sense bases, the Suchness of dependent origination, the Suchness of generosity and other perfections, up to the Suchness of omniscience, and the Suchness of the Tathagata are non-dual. Because of realizing the state of being non-dual, the name 'Tathagata' is obtained, and therefore, the sign of that name becomes a witness. In the realm of the three-thousand great-thousand world system, realization becomes high and low. For example, the Sutra says: At that time, the realm of the three-thousand great-thousand world system shook in six ways, becoming eighteen great signs, which are shaking, extreme shaking, and complete extreme shaking. Moving. Extremely moving. Completely extremely moving. Tilting. Extremely tilting. Completely extremely tilting. Trembling. Extremely trembling. Completely extremely trembling. Rumbling. Extremely rumbling. Completely extremely rumbling. Cracking. Extremely cracking. Completely extremely cracking, as it is taught. The six ways are shaking, rising, lowering, going up, going down, and sound following sound. The eighteen great signs are the six kinds of changes such as shaking, which should be known in order as small, medium, and large. The instrumental world is considered in terms of being used and not being used, and the sentient world is considered in terms of four aspects: sentient beings engaging in non-virtue, being interested in various things, arrogance, and virtuous actions with small, medium, and large distinctions. It should be understood that the eighteen phrases from 'shaking' to 'completely extremely cracking' explain the meaning, as explained by the Venerable Vasubandhu. Thus, it is taught that it is through the subsequent arising of the aspect of all-knowing. What is the nature of unborn? Sons of the gods, the constant...

Attainment does not arise following form. It begins with the suchness of form. Why is that? Because these phenomena do not exist and are not visible. Whatever is unborn, whatever is born is also non-existent. Similarly, the various consciousnesses of the path are also taught as not arising subsequently. The sixteen characteristics of the invisible suchness are that the Blessed One's suchness is profound, because it always abides in suchness. The so-called non-erroneous suchness means non-reversed. The so-called non-other suchness means exerting effort in the nature of phenomena from the nature of phenomena. The so-called nature of phenomena is the characteristic of the absence of distinction among phenomena. The so-called realm of phenomena is the meaning of the cause for obtaining all noble phenomena. The so-called abiding nature of phenomena is what all Buddhas do. The so-called faultless nature of phenomena is the meaning of non-erroneous causes and conditions. The so-called ultimate reality is the meaning of focusing on the non-reversed. Reality is non-reversed. Its limit is ultimate, because there is nothing else to exert effort in other than selflessness. It is invisible up to the all-knowingness. Again, why is suchness invisible? Because the unborn nature of all-knowingness is truly seen. At that time, it is clear that enlightenment is attained by teaching to many. The Perfection of Wisdom, if not fully grasped and separated from skillful means, will fall into the realm of the Hearers and others. When others know this, they combine the Perfection of Wisdom with skillful means, and for the sake of generating joy, even if fully grasped by generosity and so on, using the example of becoming a great bird body, if separated from the two, they will fall into the realm of the Hearers and so on. Thus, it is taught that the two are the main factors for definite arising. Among them, that which has wings is called a bird. Its distinction is the bird itself. In order to know this, the word bird is mentioned. Thus, the self is the body.

It is said that "the great perish because they are without wings," which is an explanation of the nature of self-nature. In short, not all diligence in practice here will bear fruit. Without practice here, there will be no result. Even so, what kind of situation is it? It is those who possess the roots of virtue that are in accordance with the part of liberation. What is in accordance with the part of liberation? For example, giving without characteristics, and so on. Those who are skilled in practicing the truth, who understand all aspects here, are regarded as being in accordance with the part of liberation. Thus it is taught. Whoever fully understands all aspects, this refers to being under the control of the roots of virtue that are in accordance with the part of liberation, from the initial generation of Bodhicitta, up to the attainment of omniscience, giving alms and so on without characteristics by skillful means, this is considered to be in accordance with practice. Thus it is taught. That is, it should be recognized as the nature of faith, diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, and wisdom. Furthermore, why are the perceptions of characteristics such as giving prohibited here? Because for the sake of extreme purity, all dharmas do not exist in the nature of dharma in the slightest, and are invisible. It is difficult to attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment with the perception of characteristics. By practicing all dharmas in the form of emptiness with the perception of no characteristics, it will be easy to manifest perfect enlightenment. What is contrary to the perception of no characteristics is called delusion, and seeing that Bodhisattvas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges are deluded, it is difficult to attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Thus it is said. The perception of characteristics is of four types: the perception of form and so on, and the perception of the self other than that, and the perception of suchness, and the perception of dharma. The absence of these is called no perception, and therefore it is also easy to manifest perfect enlightenment. Because form and so on, and other than that, and suchness, and other dharmas contrary to that are invisible. Thus, suchness, and the realm of dharma.
