Therefore. Having mastery over resources means that one should attain the ability to bring resources into existence as one wishes, so that one can generously bestow resources upon sentient beings as one wishes. Having mastery over actions means that one's bodily and verbal actions are well-controlled and abide as one desires. This is attained through the perfection of moral discipline. Why? Because one can encourage sentient beings to engage in faultless bodily and verbal actions as one wishes. Having mastery over birth means being able to be born in any realm as one wishes. This is attained because one's prayers endowed with moral discipline have been fulfilled. Having mastery over aspiration means that one's aspirations are followed, such that things like earth transform into things like gold. This is attained through the perfection of patience. Why? Because in previous lifetimes, one's patience followed the aspirations of sentient beings. Having mastery over prayers means that one's prayers are perfectly fulfilled as one wishes. This is attained through the perfection of diligence. Why? Because in the past, one never abandoned diligence for the sake of all sentient beings. Having mastery over miraculous powers, which are encompassed by superknowledge, is attained through the perfection of meditative concentration. This is because in the past, one entered into meditative concentration according to the needs of sentient beings. Having mastery over wisdom means manifesting wisdom as one wishes. This is attained through the perfection of wisdom. This is because in the past, one applied oneself to manifesting things according to the wishes of sentient beings. Having mastery over the Dharma means teaching the scriptures and verses as one wishes. This is attained through the perfection of wisdom. This is because in the past, one applied oneself to the scriptures and other Dharma teachings in accordance with the wishes of sentient beings. The ten powers are as follows: knowing what is possible and what is impossible.

The power of knowledge, and the power of knowing the maturation of karma, and the power of knowing meditation, samadhi and attainments, and the power of knowing superior and inferior faculties, and the power of knowing various aspirations, and the power of knowing various realms, and the power of knowing the path that goes everywhere, and the power of knowing death and birth, and the power of knowing the recollection of past abodes, and the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements. The meaning of these should be sought in the sutras such as the Great Dharani Sovereign King. The four fearlessnesses are: 'How wonderful! I am a perfectly pure Buddha.' If someone were to say, 'These dharmas of yours have not been manifestly and perfectly awakened to Buddhahood,' I have not truly seen any reason for anyone to dispute me on that. Because I have not truly seen that reason, I have attained happiness, attained freedom from anxiety, and abide in fearlessness. This is the first. Similarly, 'How wonderful! The defilements are completely exhausted.' If someone were to say, 'These defilements of yours are not exhausted,' I have no dispute with that, as before. This is the second. Whenever I have taught the path of liberation to the Shravakas, and they have practiced it, it is not for the sake of completely exhausting suffering, but for the sake of completely eliminating suffering, and if someone were to refute me with this reason, I have not truly seen that reason, as before. This is the third. Whenever I have taught the Shravakas the dharma of obstruction, even if they practice it, it will not become an obstruction, and if someone were to refute me with this reason, as before. This is the fourth fearlessness. The three non-protections are as follows: The Tathagata's bodily conduct is completely pure. If someone else knows, the Tathagata thinks that it needs to be concealed, the Tathagata does not have completely pure bodily conduct. This is the first non-protection. Just as with the activity of the body, so too should the activity of speech and mind be spoken of. The three mindfulnesses are as follows: When the Tathagata teaches the Dharma, some listen respectfully, listen attentively, and are all-knowing.
