Explanation of the Svabhavikakaya (Essence Body). Explanation of the Svabhavikakaya. Now, the Dharmakaya is to be explained, and it should be understood as threefold: the Svabhavikakaya, the Sambhogakaya, and the Nirmanakaya. Because concerning the power of the Svabhavikakaya, the Bhagavan said: "The Svabhavikakaya of the Buddha, is whatever uncontaminated dharmas, are obtained, completely pure in every way, what is that which has the nature of self?" Therefore, being endowed with the Dharmadhatu, the nature that is completely pure in all uncontaminated dharmas, that is the Svabhavikakaya, by the meaning of being unconditioned, it should be known as the Svabhavikakaya of the Bhagavan. The term "Svabhava" (nature of self) is known in the world as "unconditioned." The supramundane path is what obtains it, but it is not the maker. What are those uncontaminated dharmas that, in every way, become the Svabhava, which is utterly pure, and transforms into the Dharmakaya? "The factors of enlightenment and the immeasurable, liberation and the successive, the self-nature of the nine successive absorptions, the self-nature of the ten all-pervading, the spheres of dominance are the birth places, divided into eight by differentiation, the absence of afflictions and the wisdom of aspirations, and the individual direct perceptions, the four all-pure, the ten powers and the ten strengths, and the four fearlessnesses, the three non-protecteds, and the three mindfulnesses, the dharma-nature of non-forgetfulness, the complete destruction of habitual tendencies, great compassion for beings, the unique unmixed dharmas, the eighteen unshared dharmas that are taught, and the all-knowingness, are called the Dharmakaya." Thus it is said, it is called the Dharmata-kaya (the body of suchness) because of the removal of adventitious stains. Otherwise, the body of dharmas would be called the Dharmakaya, and therefore the Svabhava would be negated, and there would be the fault of becoming conditioned because the meaning of the activity is empty. Therefore, the term "kaya" (body) should be understood as a provisional designation following the previous state. Among these, the factors of enlightenment, the explanation beginning with the mindfulnesses, etc., will be explained in detail in the extensive chapter.

It should be understood as it is said in the accumulation of the path. The immeasurable, such as loving-kindness, is as it is said in the realm of the immeasurable. The eight liberations are: This is the first, which is to look at the forms of those with form. This is the second, which is to look at the forms of external objects with the perception of form within. This is the third, which is to abide, having fully accomplished the liberation of beauty, having made it manifest with the body. The four liberations of infinite space, infinite consciousness, nothingness, and the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, and one called the cessation of perception and feeling, thus there are eight. Among them, because the end of exhaustion, complete cessation, and complete enjoyment are not finite, it is infinite. Infinite space is infinite space, and the very nature of infinite space is what has become infinite space. This is the name of space for a reason, and in terms of the meaning of the support, this meditation has the place of what has become infinite space, so it is the ayatana of infinite space, like the divine ayatana of the gods, ayatana is a place. Because it is completely cut off and completely enjoyed, it is infinite in this, so it is infinite. Infinite consciousness is infinite consciousness, and the very nature of infinite consciousness is what has become infinite consciousness. This is the name of the consciousness that enters space, and as before, this meditation has the place of what has become infinite consciousness, so it is the sphere of infinite consciousness. Because there is no remainder of limbs or a little left in this, it is nothing at all, and its object is what has become nothing at all. This is the name of the consciousness that is separate from the sphere of infinite space, and as before, this meditation has the place of nothing at all, so it is the sphere of nothing at all. Because there is no coarse perception and there is subtle perception, the meditation that is equal to neither perception nor non-perception is neither perception nor non-perception. That is also not perception, and that is also not non-perception. Kinds of mind-born and dharma-born.
