Because it is the antidote to clinging to the Pudgala. In the aspect of having no knower, because there is no knower to be specified. This is called the aspect of reason. Complete understanding is reason. The path is the antidote to the understanding of the aspect of the knower. In the aspect of having no dissipation, because death and birth cannot be specified. This is called the aspect of practice. The path is the antidote to abandoning and adopting inferior and superior states. Individual understanding is practice, in this way. In the aspect of having no taming, because all dharmas are inherently untamable, this is called the aspect of determination. Because all dharmas are inherently empty, it is not determined to be able to tame afflictions, this is because of this reason. The antidote to the obscuration of knowledge, the path, is of two types: the path of cultivation with outflows and the path of seeing without outflows. For what reason is the path of cultivation spoken of in terms of five aspects? In the aspect of a dream, because what is seen in a dream cannot be specified. In the aspect of an echo, because the expression of an echo cannot be specified. In the aspect of a mirage, because the image cannot be specified. In the aspect of a mirage, because the flow of water cannot be specified. In the aspect of an illusion, because the sign cannot be specified. This is because in this way, in order, all dharmas are without self-nature, unborn, unceasing, primordially peaceful, and naturally nirvanic. These five stages of the path of cultivation with outflows are in accordance with the examples of dreams and so on. The path of seeing, the antidote to the obscuration of knowledge, is distinguished by abandoning six kinds of conceptualization. What are the six kinds of conceptualization? What is said by abandoning the conceptualization of all afflictions is: in the aspect of having no all-pervasive afflictions, because having no all-pervasive afflictions is unspecifiable. This is how it is said. What is said by abandoning the conceptualization of purification is: in the aspect of having no purification, because there are no afflicted sentient beings.

It is so. What is said by abandoning the conceptualization of the habitual tendencies of afflictions is: Because of aiming at the sky with the aspect of being without attachment. It is so. What is said by completely abandoning the proliferation of the nature of perception of form, etc., is: Because of completely destroying all proliferations with the aspect of being without proliferation. It is so. What is said by abandoning the conceit of the nature of experiencing the taste of one's own realization is: Because of completely destroying all conceit with the aspect of being without conceit. It is so. What is said by abandoning the conceptualization of complete deterioration is: Because of the very abiding of Subhuti in the realm of Dharma with the aspect of being unmoving. It is so. The aspect of all-knowingness has been explained. Now, the aspect of the knowledge of the path is to be stated. In that, the order of the truths should be viewed as it is in reality. What is the meaning of reality? From the perspective of universal defilement and complete purification, the truths of origin and path are the causes, and the truths of suffering and cessation are the results. Why? Cause, path, suffering, and cessation, the order is four. Those eight, seven, five, and sixteen, thus it is proclaimed. Thus it is proclaimed. The term 'aspect' is just ordinary language. Among them, the cause is desire, attachment, and the craving that possesses joy is also the cause of arising. Why? What is said as the antidote to desire is: Because of the absence of an object of attachment with the aspect of being free from attachment. It is so. The thought of wanting to do something is thought, therefore, at the time of desire, attachment is the main thing, therefore it is shown that if one is not there, the other is also not there. What is said as the antidote to attachment is: Because all dharmas are without conceptualization with the aspect of being without abode. It is so. It refers to the absence of attachment to dharmas, and at the time of attachment, it is the very cause of actually entering, therefore desire is the main thing, therefore it is shown that if one is not there, the other is also not there. These are things that follow each other, because they are similarly possessed. Craving
