Through the distinction of..., it is known that there are four types of individuals. When the Bodhisattva Sangha is spoken of, it transforms into three states: being in accordance with the decisive aspect, encompassed by the state of the path of application; encompassed by forbearance and wisdom, in the state of the path of seeing; and possessing continuity, in the state of the path of cultivation. Why is that? Starting from the decisive aspect, it is the path of seeing and cultivation. Where do the Bodhisattvas reside? It is here, in the assembly of the non-returning. Thus it is said, this is the term called the pure Sangha. Because the difference between it and the Shravakas, etc., should be declared, liberation from form, etc., is a sign. By declaring the manner of self-nature, this is the sign of non-retrogression residing in the decisive aspect. Thus it is said. Among them, liberation from form, etc., is: benefiting all dharmas is being without characteristics, without signs, without marks, and should be understood as such. Furthermore, because the connection of the knower is prevented, from the Dharani to the complete and perfect enlightenment, there is no retrogression. This is the Bodhisattva's non-retrogression. Why is that? Because attachment to form, etc., is without self-nature, so it is declared. Among them, the characteristics are encompassed by the side of the antidote. The sign is encompassed by the mark that relies on itself. The mark is understanding it as the cause for complete enjoyment. Furthermore, because there is no doubt, one does not prostrate to other gods, nor offer flowers, etc. Also, one does not hold onto the eight unfavorable conditions and the objects of women. Among them, the eight unfavorable conditions are: wrong view, hell, the birthplace of animals, the world of Yama, not hearing the teachings of the Buddha, being born in a border region, the senses being dull and deficient, and being born in the long-lived gods. Furthermore, abiding in the path of the ten virtuous actions, and also urging others to practice them, praising their qualities, rejoicing in accordance with them, not focusing on all sentient beings, cultivating the six perfections, and giving sutras, etc., thereby fulfilling the wishes of all sentient beings.

Accomplishing, and completely dedicating to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, and because all dharmas are invisible, doubting the profound dharma, and hesitation and doubt. Among them, desiring other paths is doubt arising from incompleteness. Not conforming to the straight path is hesitation. Because there is no hope of increasing various pure lineage dharmas, it is incurable, it is doubt. Possessing loving bodily actions, speech, and mental actions, and not dwelling together with the five obscurations. Among them, the five obscurations are desire for sensual pleasures, malice, dullness, sleep, agitation, regret, and doubt. The habit that does not exist from everything to everything is the habit gathered by ignorance and the defilements of views. Because Bodhisattvas take rebirth intentionally, they are not gathered by desire and the defilements of existence. For actions such as walking or coming, abiding in mindfulness, and possessing pure conduct, nourishing the Dharma with little food and despising enjoyment, this is called the stage of becoming warm. Because the root of virtue surpasses all worlds, therefore there are no eighty types of worms in the body. Because the root of purity is completely pure, the mind is free from distraction, surpassing the grounds of Hearers and others, going higher and higher, becoming the cause of holding the complete purity of body and mind. Not being greedy for gain and respect, etc., truly upholding and practicing the twelve qualities of asceticism. Among them, the twelve qualities of asceticism are: becoming a wearer of rag robes, a wearer of felt robes, a beggar, one who eats in one sitting, one who does not accept extra food, one who dwells in the wilderness, one who dwells under a tree, one who has no shelter, one who dwells in a cemetery, one who always sits, one who dwells wherever it is. Not generating miserly thoughts, etc., that are incompatible with the Perfection of Wisdom, having a steadfast mind, and because of its profundity, listening to the Dharma of others, in order to unite with it, is the yoga of the Perfection of Wisdom.
