What is meant by "one should strive for the Paramita"? Its detailed explanation is as follows: Shariputra, here, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, abiding in the Prajnaparamita in a non-abiding manner, because of not perceiving the giving, the object of giving, and the recipient, should perfect the Dana Paramita in a manner of non-abandonment, as has been said and so on. In this regard, it is summarized and shown for the sake of others as follows: A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, in each of the ten directions, in worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, whatever sentient beings there are, desiring to completely lead all of them to Nirvana in the realm of Nirvana without remainder, one should train in the Prajnaparamita, as it is said. Its detailed explanation is as follows: For sentient beings who are miserly, it is giving; for those who are immoral, it is morality; a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who wishes to delight them should train in the Prajnaparamita, as has been said. Thus, having spoken of the nature of generating the mind of enlightenment, which includes the object and the purpose, now making the distinction of its nature into twenty-two aspects: Earth, gold, moon, fire, treasure and the source of jewels, ocean, vajra, mountain, medicine, spiritual friend, wish-fulfilling jewel, sun, song, king, treasury and great path, vehicle, adorned water and, sound, friend, river, clouds, these are the twenty-two aspects. Thus it is said. Among them, the first mind generation of Bodhisattvas, possessing aspiration, is like the earth. Shariputra, here, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, desiring to manifestly and completely awaken to all dharmas in all aspects, should strive in the Prajnaparamita, as it is said, desiring to manifestly and completely awaken to all dharmas in all aspects, is because it becomes the basis for generating all the Buddha dharmas and their assembly. Second, possessing intention is like excellent gold. Shari

Son of, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in the Prajnaparamita in a way that does not abide. Because there is no attachment to giving, giving away, and receiving, the perfection of giving Paramita is completed in a way that does not give away, and it is said that all dharmas are not attached to the perfection of Prajnaparamita. The intention of benefit and happiness held by the six paramitas abides until the perfect Bodhi, because it is intention, so the future and the present do not depend on change. Third, having superior intention is like the waxing moon. Therefore, abiding in the Prajnaparamita, one should practice the thirty-seven factors of Bodhi, up to the practice of the nine impure contemplations, as well as the practice of the eight discriminations of the great man, and the practice of the eighteen unshared Buddha dharmas. Because the thought that all good dharmas will increase is superior, it is called superior intention. Fourth, having effort is like fire. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva who wishes to cross over by observing with knowledge and vision with all-knowing wisdom, and who wishes to abide in the irreversible ground, and who wishes to perfect the path wisdom, and who wishes to attain all kinds of wisdom, should study what is said in the Prajnaparamita. The effort of the three realms of all-knowing wisdom is a supreme effort, an extreme effort, so like the difference of firewood to fire, it becomes more and more superior. Fifth, having the Paramita of giving is like a great treasure. What is said by the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who wishes to place stingy beings in giving, and who wishes to subdue the giving of hearers and solitary Buddhas with one thought of awakening. Even if countless beings are satisfied with material enjoyment,

Because there is no exhaustion. Sixth, having the perfection of discipline is like a source of jewels. Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who wish to place those with broken discipline in discipline, and who wish to overwhelm with a single mind of enlightenment arising from rejoicing in the discipline of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, should train in the Perfection of Wisdom, because all limitless qualities of jewels arise from it. Seventh, having the perfection of patience is like a great ocean. Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who wish to place those with harmful minds in patience, and who wish to overwhelm with a single mind of enlightenment arising from rejoicing in the patience of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, should train in the Perfection of Wisdom, because all unpleasant things that befall them cannot disturb them. Eighth, having the perfection of diligence is like a vajra. Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who wish to place the lazy in diligence, and who wish to overwhelm with a single mind of enlightenment arising from rejoicing in the diligence of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, should train in the Perfection of Wisdom, because it is unwavering in faith. Ninth, having the perfection of meditation is like the king of mountains. Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who wish to place those with scattered minds in meditation, and who wish to overwhelm with a single mind of enlightenment arising from rejoicing in the meditation of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, should train in the Perfection of Wisdom, because it is not moved by the distraction of objects. Tenth, having the perfection of wisdom is like medicine. Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who wish to place beings with corrupt wisdom in wisdom, and who wish to overwhelm with a single mind of enlightenment arising from rejoicing in the wisdom of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, should
