Are the Three Jewels! The basis is the two: morality and giving! The power is the gods! Those who do not trust are the two: sorrow and death! Not forgetting the inner self is the form of the body and the two: mindfulness of the breath moving in and out! Dhyana and immeasurable, and formless samadhi, etc., are with the meaning of transcending limbs and objects! The eight liberations, etc., are in the order of two, one, four, and one, with the meaning of the antidote to the obscuration of illusion, and the meaning of the antidote to stealing afflictions from illusion, and the meaning of abiding in accordance with liberation, and the meaning of peaceful abiding, hence the eight liberations are taught! The nine successive abidings, etc., are with the meaning of being suitable for the supramundane path, because the cessation samadhi itself attains it! The power of knowing what is and is not, and the maturation of karma, and the various realms, and the various inclinations, and the superior faculty, and the non-superior, and the path of universal going, and dhyana, and liberation, and samadhi, and samadhi, and all afflictions, and purification, and rising, and recollection of past lives, and dying, and birth, and the ten powers of knowing the exhaustion of outflows, etc., are with the meaning of obtaining the characteristics and nature of all dharmas! The four fearlessnesses, etc., are with the meaning of not being timid in ignorance! The four separate correct knowledges, etc., are with the meaning of separate correct knowledge being unobstructed wisdom on all objects! The eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, etc., are with the meaning of being unshared, if so, starting from the establishment of mindfulness, up to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, those are because they summarize the path of seeing, etc., hence it is said to be a collection of paths! The collection of form is: Subhuti, furthermore, the Mahayana of the Bodhisattva is like this: the doors of dharani, etc., that is, A (Tibetan: ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:无) is called the door of all dharmas because it is unborn!

The syllable 'bya' is the door to all dharmas because it is free from dust. The syllable 'pa' is the door to all dharmas because it reveals the ultimate meaning. What is said in such extensive terms is that by using letters as symbols, the memory of the cause of teaching the Dharma for many eons will not be interrupted. Memory is also dharani because it grasps letters and meanings themselves. The collection of grounds refers to the ten grounds of Bodhisattvas, each of which transforms into ten aspects through the distinction of being completely purified by themselves. Because it is made in response to the second question, Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva enter the Great Vehicle? Starting from this question, if one asks how the practice of the six perfections increases from the ground, it is like this: because all dharmas are immutable. Why is that? Because it is shown by preventing the coming and going of all dharmas by 'any dharma' and so on. Also, what is the dharma by which one completely purifies the ground? It is said: By ten purifications, the ground will be obtained first, the very nature of beneficial intention, and equality of mind towards sentient beings, giving and relying on spiritual friends, seeking the object of the true Dharma, always the mind of renunciation, and the joy of desiring the Buddha's body, teaching the Dharma and solitude, these ten are considered the tenth. Because these do not fixate on self-nature, one should know that they are purified. This is what is said, that one purifies the superior intention in a non-fixating manner, and so on. Morality, gratitude, and patience, great joy and great compassion, respect for the guru and respectful listening, the eighth is diligence in giving and so on. This is saying that a Bodhisattva abiding on the second ground should keep in mind eight dharmas, namely, complete purity of morality, gratitude and knowing what has been done, and so on.

One wishes to act accordingly, not just to hear the words. Not being satisfied with hearing, giving the Dharma without defilement, purifying all Buddha-fields, not being weary of samsara, having shame and embarrassment, and the prideful mind, these five. This is the five dharmas that a great Bodhisattva abiding in the third ground should abide in. What are the five? Namely, like this, not being satisfied with hearing much, and also being attached to the appearance of letters, etc., as spoken. Abiding in the forest, having few desires and being content, practicing the correct discipline, not abandoning the training, reproaching all desires, abandoning nirvana and all possessions, not being timid and having no sectarianism. This is the ten dharmas that a great Bodhisattva abiding in the fourth ground should not abandon. What are the ten? Namely, like this, abiding in a solitary place, having few desires, etc., as spoken. Among them, having few desires means not wanting to acquire what has already been acquired. Being content means not wanting to acquire more than what has already been acquired. The characteristic clearly indicates that whichever great Bodhisattva does not generate desire even for Bodhi, this is called having few desires. The intention here is to focus on one's own benefit, because it is a part of most of the benefit of others, so it is the reason for being close. Attachment to relatives and family, and places that become noisy, praising oneself and disparaging others, the ten paths of non-virtuous actions, prideful arrogance and perversion, indecision and tolerating afflictions. If these ten are completely abandoned, the fifth ground can be truly attained. This is the ten dharmas that a great Bodhisattva abiding in the fifth ground should abandon, namely, like this, one should completely abandon householders and renunciates and those who are close, etc., as spoken. Giving, morality, patience, diligence, meditation, wisdom are completely perfected, for disciples and rhinoceroses, abandoning the mind of joy and fear, not shrinking back after being begged, not being displeased even if all possessions are abandoned, and not abandoning begging even when poor, the sixth ground can be obtained.
