There should be no doubt about this. With mind, body, and speech, turn away from all non-virtue, and always engage in virtue. This Dharma is explained in two ways. This Dharma liberates from the hells, hungry ghosts, and animals, and in the realms of gods and humans, one obtains happiness, prosperity, and expansive royal power. Contemplation, immeasurable states, and formlessness lead to experiencing the bliss of Brahma and others. Thus, this noble Dharma and its fruits have been briefly summarized. Thus it is said. Therefore, turning away from the ten non-virtues and reversing the delight in samsara, generate unwavering faith of conviction, faith of aspiration, and faith of desire, and stabilize them. Preceded by love and compassion for all beings sustained by life, with a mind that regards all beings, take refuge in the Three Jewels until reaching enlightenment. For virtuous friends, the wise, the disciplined, the compassionate, those without stinginess or jealousy towards Dharma and wealth, those who are attentive to tasks, without weariness, and endowed with lineage, courage, and complexion, generate the supreme mind of enlightenment. Then, abiding in faith, knowing shame, having embarrassment, mindfulness, awareness, and vigilance, examine actions that contradict the mind of enlightenment and vows, and abandon them. Preceded by love and compassion for beings sustained by life, abandon killing, taking what is not given, sexual misconduct, lying, divisive speech, harsh speech, idle chatter, covetousness, malice, and wrong views, as well as meat, fish, alcohol, garlic, radishes, activities of the Chinese, activities of sesame, and agriculture, etc., should always be abandoned. Monks, those who have generated the mind of enlightenment, and those who possess vows should be respected and not despised. One should be patient with those who possess the qualities of training and those who inflict various harms upon oneself. One should constantly cultivate the mind of enlightenment and make vast aspirations. To the lama, the Three Jewels, those who benefit, those who suffer, the sick, those who care for the sick, those who slander, unexpected guests, and brahmins, offer food, clothing, drinks, medicine, jewels, and lamps.

Also, giving incense, spices, and implements, giving away all of one's body and merit, giving Dharma and fearlessness, and providing help and care for the sick and others in need. In the "Precious Garland" it says: Even at the time of taking seven steps, holding the mind of giving away all possessions, for the Bodhisattvas, immeasurable merit like the sky will arise. Also, in the "Mother of the Victorious Ones" it says: Subhuti, what do you think? Is it easy to measure the eastern sky? Subhuti replied: Bhagavan, it is not. The Bhagavan said: Subhuti, likewise, the Bodhisattva who gives without abiding anywhere, the heap of merit of that one is also not easy to measure. Also in that same text it says: Subhuti, for example, if a person with eyes enters into darkness, he will not see anything, likewise is the Bodhisattva who gives while fixating on things. Subhuti, for example, when dawn breaks and the sun rises, a person with eyes can see various forms, likewise is the Bodhisattva who gives without fixating on things. Therefore, if one gives with the three circles completely pure, then the Bodhisattvas' giving is undeluded, and it becomes the cause of liberation from suffering. That is also the root of virtue without delusion. Similarly, when listening, contemplating, meditating, abiding in asceticism, and helping others, one should accept physical and mental suffering. Likewise, when seeing harm to oneself, one should be able to endure the antidote. One should understand the harm-doer, the object of harm, and the things harmed as like illusions and empty, and abide in patience. One who abides in patience in this way will have physical and mental happiness in this very life, have many attendants, be protected by gods and so on, and after death will be born in a pure Buddha-field, have a good lineage, have a good form and complexion, be without illness, have a long life, have loving attendants, be born into a wealthy and prosperous family, become a king of gods and humans in higher realms, and...
