Then, in order to exhaust all karmic obscurations, one should recite the hundred-syllable mantra, the essence of all Tathāgatas, eight thousand times in the same manner. Thus, karmic obscurations such as abandoning the sacred Dharma and committing the five heinous crimes will be completely exhausted. These are: Homage to all the Tathāgatas who have gone to the three times, having attained power through the immutable Dharma-nature in all ways. Oṃ Asama Sama Samanta To Anantā Bāti Śāsani Hara Hara Smara Smara Ṇa Bigata Rāga Buddha Dherma Te Sara Sara Masā Bālā Hasa Hasa Satrāya Satrāya Gā Gā Na Mahā Bāla Rakṣaṇe Jvāla Jvāla Na Sāgare Svāhā. After that, one should generate the mind of enlightenment: By giving the mind of enlightenment, Generating the perfect mind of enlightenment, For the benefit of all sentient beings, I practice the excellent conduct. Then, in order to subdue all obstacles, one should bind the Vajra Wrathful mudra and recite the meaningful essence of the immovable one three times. The Vajra mudra is like this: the palm of the right hand is raised upwards, and the thumb presses the tip of the index finger, the remaining fingers are the characteristics of the Vajra. The mantra is: Homage to all Vajra-holders. Trā Ṭa Amogha Caṇḍa Mahā Roṣaṇa Svā Ṭaya Hūṃ Tra Maya Tra Maya Hūṃ Ṭa Ṭu Haṃ Maṃ. One should also bind the auspicious mudra: interlacing the fingers of both hands and bending them inwards to form a fist, extending the two middle fingers outwards with their tips touching, and also pressing the two index fingers slightly with the tips of the thumbs, without touching them, and holding them in this way. The mantra is: Oṃ Hara Hara Mahāni Matti Hūṃ Phaṭ Svāhā. Then, after washing the face and so on, one should sit comfortably on a cushion.

In front of any object, whether it is a painting, a scripture, or a statue, visualize the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas residing in the ten directions, and make a mandala offering by scattering flowers on the ground. As before, prostrate respectfully with all limbs with two verses, and generate the mind of Bodhicitta. As follows, offer oneself to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, saying, "I, named so-and-so, offer myself to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. From all times and places, please accept me well. May all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas bless me. Lords with great compassion, I pray to you for the supreme accomplishment." Then confess all sins, all sins of all times arising from attachment, hatred, and ignorance, just as all Buddhas, the Bhagavat, know, I also confess them all. Thus say. Then rejoice in merit, the accumulation of merit and wisdom of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, whatever is included in the three times, mundane and supramundane, just as all Buddhas, the Bhagavat, know, I rejoice in all of these, I rejoice in the supreme rejoicing. Then sit well in the lotus position, and bind this Samaya mudra, placing the palms together on the top of the head, this is the Samaya mudra.
