spharaṇa iṃ gagana khaṃ svāhā. Thus, after giving the torma to the demons, offer to the guardians of the directions by joining the two hands with the palms empty. Raise the three middle fingers to form a lotus shape. The mantra for that is: In the direction of the powerful one, rudrāya svāhā. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: रुद्राय स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: rudrāya svāhā, Chinese literal meaning: Rudra to Svaha) In the direction of Indra, śakrāya svāhā. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: शक्राय स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: śakrāya svāhā, Chinese literal meaning: Shakra to Svaha) In the direction of the fire, agnaye svāhā. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: अग्नये स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: agnaye svāhā, Chinese literal meaning: Agni to Svaha) In the direction of Yama, veptāye svāhā. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: वेप्ताये स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: veptāye svāhā, Chinese literal meaning: Vepta to Svaha) In the direction of the Rakshasa, rakṣasa adhi pataye svāhā. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: रक्षस अधि पतये स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: rakṣasa adhi pataye svāhā, Chinese literal meaning: Rakshasa, the lord, to Svaha) In the direction of the water deity, megha aśanāya svāhā. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: मेघ अशनाय स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: megha aśanāya svāhā, Chinese literal meaning: Cloud, food, to Svaha) In the direction of the wind deity, vāyave svāhā. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: वायवे स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: vāyave svāhā, Chinese literal meaning: Vayu to Svaha) In the direction of Kubera, yakṣa viddhare svāhā. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: यक्ष विद्धरे स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: yakṣa viddhare svāhā, Chinese literal meaning: Yaksha, pierced, to Svaha) In the direction above, ādityāya svāhā. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: आदित्याय स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: ādityāya svāhā, Chinese literal meaning: Aditya to Svaha) This is for the sun. For the moon, candrāya svāhā. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: चन्द्राय स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: candrāya svāhā, Chinese literal meaning: Chandra to Svaha) In the direction below, pṛthivyai svāhā. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: पृथिव्यै स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: pṛthivyai svāhā, Chinese literal meaning: Earth to Svaha) This is for the earth goddess. Thus, also offer to the guardians of the directions, and empower them to perform the recitation. Recite twenty-one times, or one hundred and eight times. After reciting the Vajra Destroyer, the king should always bathe. The meaning of what is said is that, having made offerings to the noble ones together with their retinue, the guardians of the world, and all beings, visualize the noble ones who have been invited into the vase as if they were alive. In their hearts, arrange the strings of letters on a spotless moon mandala and recite. Simultaneously visualizing the deity's body, the moon mandala, and the strings of letters is like looking at a brocade or other patterned cushion in the world. If one asks how to arrange so many strings of letters within a small moon mandala, there is nothing impossible for those who are accustomed to the mind. Just as in a small amount of very clear water, the entire sky adorned with the sun, moon, planets, and stars appears. The word "king" refers to the holder. Furthermore, in order to empower the performance of the bathing ritual, the sutra says: "By the glory of this sutra, all the unbearable diseases of all living beings will be pacified, life and merit will increase, and they will be completely liberated from all sins." Thus, after the number of recitations is complete, in order to please the deities of the ten directions, verses should also be proclaimed: Indra, the deity who holds the vajra, the deity of the gods.
