With focused yoga. The land should be thoroughly purified. From "With focused yoga. The land should be thoroughly purified" to "Smear with cow dung using the five substances of a cow," it explains the meaning of purifying the land. After that, the vidyadhara attentively says that the so-called "land" refers to the land chosen by the mantra practitioner, which should be free of saltpeter, unbroken, firm, without depressions, flat, and without obstacles such as tree stumps. As stated in the scriptures, dig the land and then refill it with high-quality fine soil, etc., all should be done according to the Dharma. "A bright color is even better" means that after leveling the land of the mandala, making the east and north sides slightly higher, it is even better if the color of such land is beautiful. "Smear with cow dung using the five substances of a cow" means that the juice squeezed from the fresh cow dung of a yellow cow, milk, urine, butter, and yogurt, these five substances are mixed in equal parts, and then mixed with cow dung to smear the mandala. "Smear according to the situation. The teacher bathes." to "The nearby decorations should also be like decorations," it explains the order of drawing lines. Among them, "After smearing according to the situation, the teacher bathes, fasts and enters meditation, blesses the protection of the wrathful deity" means that the word "according to the situation" should also be linked to the following "the mandala is drawn at night." That is to say, there is no time limit, and it can be drawn at any time. After the teacher himself bathes, when drawing the mandala and guiding the disciples into the mandala, it is necessary to fast for a day. Do not generate discriminating thoughts towards external objects such as greed, hatred, and delusion, but enter meditation single-mindedly, transform into the great wrathful deity, and bless the various parts of the body with mantras such as the five branches. "Many deities" refers to "The secret and supreme mandala is drawn at night." It means when is the secret and supreme mandala of many deities drawn? The answer is drawn at night. Why draw at night? Because it should not be seen by everyone.

Furthermore, in order to depict the night, and especially to bless the night of the Bodhisattvas, therefore depict the night. The phrase "with Zarma cloth or cotton, or a beautiful three-ply twisted thread," refers to the thread for the mandala. So, from what material is it made? It is made by twisting Zarma cloth or cotton thread into three strands to make the thread. The phrase "At the four sides and four doors, the wise should draw the mandala lines," means that the mandala lines should be drawn in a square area with four sides and four doors. So, how should it be drawn? It is said in the scriptures: "First from the east and north, to between the south and west." This statement indicates the position where the disciple should sit when drawing the mandala lines. So, in which position should one sit? At the junction of the east and north, that is, in the Ishana (अशन, aśana, food) direction, the disciple should sit; at the junction of the south and west, that is, in the Nairitya (नैर्ऋत्य, nairṛtya, non-entity) direction, the disciple should sit. The disciple should sit in two directions to draw the lines. So, in which position should the master sit? "The junction of the east and south, and the junctions of the west and north." This means that the master should sit at the junction of the east and south, that is, in the direction of fire; and at the junction of the west and north, that is, in the direction of wind. In this way, draw the lines of the mandala. Thus, the positions of the master and disciple are clearly stated, so the master should not sit separately in other places. After explaining the respective positions of the master and disciple, it should be understood that the next explanation will be about drawing lines in each direction and corner. It is said in the scriptures: "The thread is the position of the directions and corners, and then it must also be straight." Therefore, two lines should be drawn in a cross shape in the four directions, and two lines should also be drawn from the four corners. In this way, first draw the lines in a cross shape, and then in order to draw the mandala of appropriate size and without positional deviation below it, the size of the lines should be determined, and then it should be drawn into a square. Therefore, it is said in the scriptures: "After carefully measuring with the lines, draw it into a square." Thus it is said. This method of drawing lines is like a lion, alternately rotating and stirring up and down and around.
