Oṃ. Thus, apart from the mantras of the two, skillful means and wisdom, the one hundred and sixty-five verses have completely summarized the profound meaning of the Great Vehicle Secret Mantra. Now, the meaning of this very chapter will be explained in detail. "Then, the glorious Vajradhara." And so on, where "then" means that after the completion of the forty-first chapter, the chapter on illusion, the collector connects the context. The greatness of the speaker himself is truly stated: the two accumulations are completely fulfilled, and wisdom and compassion are inseparable, so he perfectly accomplishes the benefit of himself and others, hence he is called "glorious." He himself has the symbol of being free from the elaboration of the great wisdom of non-duality, that is, he holds the Vajra as a sign in his hand, so he is called "the Vajra of the sign of neither male nor female." He subdues those who are malicious and arrogant in the final age, so he is called "the one who subdues the difficult to tame." Moreover, since the emanation of the Tathagata, those with a peaceful demeanor cannot subdue, but the great lord of the wrathful deities subdues, so he is called "supreme," and since he holds many forms, he is called "all." He enters without hindrance for the various beings to be subdued, so he is called "heroic," and he places the lord of the three realms, such as the great Ishvara, under his feet, so he is called "victorious over the three worlds." "Vajra, the powerful, the secret king." Among them, Vajra refers to all the Mantrayana, which is kept secret from the Shravakas and others, and as the main deity, for whom, he has eyes as bright and radiant as a blooming white lotus, and a face as red and blooming as a red lotus, so he is called having a face like a blooming lotus. He holds a golden five-pronged Vajra in his hand, in order to benefit all beings, and in order to frighten those who have doubts, he repeatedly raises it in the space in front of him, so he is called "the supreme Vajra in his own hand, repeatedly raising it." So, what kind of posture does he have? "Having successive wrathful wrinkles, etc." That is, the one who has the flavor of the nine dances, such as wrathful and peaceful, is called that. His own emana

In order to subdue the immeasurable and terrifying evil ones in the guise of the Yaksha, the body of Lava, the immeasurable Vajrapani, the brave subduer of the difficult to tame, the terrifying and courageous one, the one whose vajra tip radiates light, the one who lifts with his own hand. Thus it is said. 'Immeasurable' refers to the first word with the meaning of the third. Are they with an unpleasant mind? It is not so, because it is said, 'Great compassion and wisdom, etc.,' the one who possesses the nature of great compassion and undifferentiated wisdom is called as such. The supreme one who benefits beings through skillful means, means that he subdues by knowing how to subdue those to be tamed. Those are not driven by a master, but each rejoices and is content in the benefit of beings, and because they possess a joyful mind, therefore it is said, 'Having a joyful, contented, and delighted mind.' All of those have the form of wrathful deities, therefore it is called 'Having the form of the body of a wrathful deity.' From among those, what is said? It is said, 'The lord who performs the deeds of the Buddhas,' the deeds of the Buddhas are to liberate those who are not liberated, to deliver those who are not delivered, to give breath to those who have no breath, and to lead to nirvana those who have not attained nirvana. The one who possesses such deeds is called as such. Together with those who bow their bodies, it refers to such attendants who fold their palms, bow their heads, and possess a respectful mind, abiding together with the lord of secrets, Vajrapani, sitting before the Buddha, and making such a request, it is related. To whom is the request made? To the Tathagata, the Bhagavan, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, it refers to the Tathagata Shakyamuni Buddha himself. What is the manner? It is said, 'Having prostrated,' it refers to prostrating through the three doors of body, speech, and mind. Thereafter, the more respectful special point is, 'Having joined the palms,' it refers to approaching the superior. 'Sitting before the Buddha, making such a request,' it refers to ascertaining that it is the lord of secrets, that is, sitting before the Tathagata Buddha and making such a request.
