Although all phenomena appear in various forms, they are of one taste in the realm that is untouched by the mind. Just as various rivers merge into the single ocean. Mindfulness is the wheel of grasping. Although the generation stage and completion stage are all done through mindfulness, thus they are impure and have the nature of destruction. But in the ultimate truth, it is the unerring realm. That which is not made by the mind and not touched by the mind, that which cannot be spoken or thought, destroys all false mindfulness, wisdom, or mental fabrications. For example, although a great liar tells many lies, someone who knows the truth will perceive that his words are not true. Many lies are destroyed by one truth. How is it destroyed? The supreme guru's instruction, like the sun, is pure in nature and free from all elaborations. That which is not defiled by the three conditions, that which is clear like the sun and pervades everything. Therefore, it appears together with the one sun. All the channels, winds, bindus, etc., are like darkness. Because everything is made by the mind, the ultimate truth, which is beyond the realm of the mind, is not seen. What makes it possible to see the ultimate truth is the supreme guru's instruction, which is free from the three conditions. Through it, one sees the three kayas, thereby purifying the two obscurations, and destroys all mindfulness into non-mindfulness. Therefore, even if there is much darkness, it can be destroyed. Now, an example that is not contradictory, an example that is like the ocean without increase or decrease, is used to explain. From the ocean, vapor rises. The vapor turns into clouds. From the clouds, rain falls and makes the crops grow. Similarly, from the dharmakaya, which is like the ocean, arises the sambhogakaya, which is like vapor. From the nirmanakaya, which is like clouds, various emanations appear, like rain. Just as clouds bring rain from the ocean, the rain also takes on different characteristics such as snow, sweetness, and sourness, depending on the container. But the rain does not have the thought, "I did it this way." Similarly, from the dharmakaya, which is beyond the mind, arise the unborn sambhogakaya and the non-mindful nirmanakaya. The dharmakaya does not have the thought of arising the sambhogakaya and nirmanakaya. This is samsara, this is nirvana, etc., are grasped separately according to their respective different conceptualizations. For example, rain soaks the earth, nourishing plants and forests.
