What is Nirvana? It is said that one should not definitely dwell in either the home or the two, because attachment to the two places gives rise to conceptual thoughts. So what should be done? Whenever eating, engaging in sexual activity, sleeping, etc., do not be completely attached to these things. Recognize them as mere false appearances. Therefore, the wise should constantly and continuously abide in Bodhi, because there is no arising whatsoever, it is due to self-arising wisdom. Thus it is said: If one experiences Samsara and Nirvana, one will realize if one does not see this. If one experiences Samsara, there is no Nirvana, one will realize if one does not see this. Samsara and Nirvana, both are not existent, completely knowing Samsara, that is called Nirvana. Thus it is said, therefore the nature of Bodhi is established as the supreme nature of non-duality. To explain it: Bodhi exists in the home and in the forest, one should know the difference between these two. For the nature of the stainless mind, there should be no conceptualization. Thus it is said, for the Bodhi of the characteristics explained above, one should know with the words of thought the difference that it does not exist in the home and in the forest. The home is one's own body, the forest is forms such as vases and blankets. Bodhi is not in them. This is self and this is other, whoever completely thinks like this, with separation bound and liberated, he is self-liberated. Thus it is said, whoever says this is self, this is other, whatever one does, completely cultivates in a reversed way, although there is no bondage by separation, yet the self is bound. At that time, the self is liberated yet not liberated, therefore do not think in the categories of self and other, thus understand. Thus it is said: Do not mistake self and other, all beings are constantly Buddhas, this is the supreme state of stainlessness, the nature of mind is inherently pure. Thus it is said, the kinds of sentient beings, from the very beginning are Buddhas, but from the very beginning, due to sudden conceptual thoughts, they cultivate without realizing, not knowing that they themselves are Buddhas. This is the supreme of stainlessness, the nature of mind is the nature of Bodhi.

Because of abandoning the holding of all things. The supreme tree of non-dual mind, Spreads throughout the three realms completely, Giving rise to flowers of compassion, Bearing fruit, Its name is benefiting others. Thus it is said, thus showing the meaning of the supreme, thereby showing benefiting others, The yogi's mind, which is non-dual, like a wish-fulfilling tree, spreads completely throughout the three realms, This is the meaning of all being non-dual. The name of the fruit of its flower of compassion is benefiting others, Because in all of everything, it causes the enlightenment of the Buddha and so on to increase. The tree of praise gives rise to flowers, Various kinds of compassion arise, Spontaneously accomplishing the fruit of others, This bliss is not another mind. Thus it is said, thus the fruit of emptiness, with various kinds of compassion, even if unwilling, completely fulfills various kinds of thoughts. However, showing complete compassion is: The tree of emptiness is not compassion, For that which has no roots or leaves, What is the object of focus for that? That is fallen and the branches are broken. Thus it is said, the tree of emptiness is not compassion, because emptiness and compassion are inseparable, therefore here compassion without an object is called non-compassion. That tree of emptiness has no roots or leaves, because the meditator, the act of meditation, and the object of meditation do not exist from the beginning. Whatever is the object of focus for that, that is fallen and the branches are broken, because the three realms are of one essence. To show that very thing, one seed gives rise to two trees, because there is no dependence, therefore one flower, Here, seeing the non-duality, liberation from existence and nirvana. Thus it is said, one seed gives rise to two distinctions of tree and branch, thus transforming into two forms of cause and effect, that also is not different from the fruit. Because it is said that from such a cause the fruit arises, therefore seeing the Buddha and samsara as inseparable, that will become liberation, because of realizing non-duality. Whoever has the light of desire, that will become without hope, taking a piece from the trunk, alas, leaving one's own home. Thus it is said.
