It is permissible not to accept it. That is to say: When analyzing any object, there is no one between it and it, and for an object without one, there is also no many. It is said so. If someone says that the reason for being apart from one and many does not conform to the scriptures, then, like the image in a mirror, completely abandoning one and other, although it appears, it is not there. Similarly, things are also like that. In the sutras such as the Lankavatara Sutra, the Blessed One himself has very clearly explained this. For any sentient being, if existence is not established, then non-existence is also not, because non-existence is the nature of existence not existing. Regarding this, the Blessed One said: Non-existence is the precursor of existence, and existence is the precursor of non-existence. Therefore, do not think of non-existence, and do not cling to existence. It is said so. Nagarjuna also said: On the premise of admitting emptiness, for the views of permanence and annihilation, for those who do not admit existence, there is no annihilation, and there is no permanence. If there is no existence, it will become existence, and if there is existence, it is non-existence. For example, just as long and short exist, existence depends on non-existence. Therefore, for those who have neither. It is said so. The language that is separated from the combination of existence and non-existence indicates that it is separated from the four extremes, that is, suchness. Because the mixture of existence and non-existence itself is a negative nature, it is another aspect. Hey, good man, if so, denying existence itself also establishes denying non-existence, why deny both? Similarly, the Blessed One denied existence itself, and said that sentient beings are merely non-existent things, which is expressed in the Samadhiraja Sutra and other scriptures with words such as all dharmas are without things, without characteristics, and without self-nature. Here some people answer: Here there are also those who speak of annihilation. Because denying existence is non-existence, sentient beings are considered to be annihilated things, and in order to clarify this, it is shown that both are denied. Their answer is unreasonable, because those who say both and non-both will also be considered the reason for denying them. Another statement of this answer is that because it only speaks of emptiness, it denies existence.

Therefore, if it is admitted that non-existence is like a flower in the sky, then in order to clarify this view, this union must be explained. This is precisely what needs to be understood. If only emptiness is explained, then this is also to explain the main part of wisdom. This is not to combine the two truths as the primary task. Others will make other refutations. There is no fault in this distinction of explanation, because some people block things and only explain non-things. Some people explain that they are far from things and non-things. Some people explain that they are far from the four extremes. However, the difference of Suchness (Sanskrit: Tathatā) does not exist. Even if this is the case, why only prostrate to Suchness, but not to the Buddha, the World Honored One? Therefore, it is said, "For whom there is no defilement, having the nature of Bodhi enlightenment." "For whom" means for whom. "That" is Suchness. Enlightenment is through the way of comprehension. No defilement means no contamination. Bodhi nature refers to the nature of perfect and complete enlightenment, so one should prostrate to it, because there is no difference. Also, because the nature of Dharma is without defilement and contamination, it is the infallible Suchness. Therefore, because one has not realized one's own nature and regards it as an inverted nature, and because afflictions, karma, and birth cause the cycle of reincarnation to arise, defilements will appear separately. Those who have not realized their own nature are called "sudden defilements." Completely eliminating these sudden defilements is called "completely pure." As it is said, Bodhisattva Maitreya said: "All those who have no afflictions, they are with defilements and without defilements, like the water element, gold, and the sky, so is the thought of purity. If that purity does not change, all sentient beings will be liberated, if that affliction does not change, diligent work will have no result." Therefore, all the names of what needs to be established here and the establisher are conventional truths. The Buddha himself and the Vajradhara himself should be established on the conventional truth, as it is said in the scriptures.
