In the center of the lotus union, the size of a dongtse coin, mark with a red A (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: a, literal Chinese meaning: A), making it red in color. Then, using threads of five or four colors, make them to the height of a thodo, and roll the ends of those threads together. Make a copper tube, about the size of a reed's throat, and pull those threads out from inside it. Insert the seed syllable A (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: a, literal Chinese meaning: A) into the heart of the lotus union and place it there. Then, place that lotus in the center of the navel of the image of the one to be acted upon, just as the body exists. The copper tube should also be pierced into the navel. Then, wrap the image in a cowhide, pull out those threads, and let it dry slightly. Once it has dried, take that image and, in a place where the house of the one to be acted upon can be seen, where there is a path leading to the house of the one to be acted upon, dig a hole and hide it inside, filling it with dry earth and leaving it there. Then, return to your own home and, as in the previous samadhi, stiffen the life of the one to be acted upon and dissolve it into the image. Perform this union in this way for one, two, or three days. Then, the practitioner should do as much as possible the union of summoning. The excellent dharma friends of the practice, possessing the samadhi of the deity, should assume the appearance of the deity. Take the image of the one to be acted upon and bring it to your own place. Then, on a platform, draw a semi-lunar wind mandala facing the direction of the one to be acted upon, using bricks, stones, or charcoal, marked with many ropes and iron hooks. Place it on top of that and perform the union of summoning for seven days, dissolving it into the image. Think that the black thread is very tightly bound by reciting your own secret mantra. Hold the colored thread in your hand and diligently recite. Then, after seven days have passed, take earth and water from the seashore, or similarly from the bank of a great river, or from a pond and a large lake, or from various springs. Then, mix those earths well with medicine, incense, and good flowers, and also mix them with rice or wheat flour, and make an image of a great naga. In this way, make four emanations that are blazing and have open mouths. In the heart of those, the essence called Om Phu (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཕུ་, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Roman transliteration:, literal Chinese meaning: )

Write the syllable "Po," then write "Karkham" in black. Those emanations have jewels on their heads, two tongues, arranged like rows of teeth. As for the color, first mix white guggul and butter, boil and apply it. Then change the color with four kinds of paint: one is white, one is yellow, one is red, and one is black. Their two tongues should also be wrapped well with colored thread, making two tall ones. Om, Panā, Naga, Poison, Space)," then insert the root into the mouth of the emanation, and visualize it as a tongue burning with poison. After that, erect a tent of cloth or clean cloth in a clean place. There, make a mandala with five characteristics. Draw a four-petaled lotus there, make the stamens blue, and then place the Destroyer of Death, the Victorious One of the Three Realms, on it. Make the eastern petal white, and place the white emanation there. Similarly, make the south yellow, and place the yellow snake. Make the west red, and place the red snake. Make the north black, and place the black snake. The heads of those snakes should face the center. Then, the mantra practitioner should bathe well, put on clean clothes, anoint his hands with fragrant perfume, and sit at the western door. Enter into the samadhi of your own deity. Invite the Destroyer of Death to the center of the mandala, contemplate well, and please him with offerings such as argha and flowers. Then, in front of the four great snakes, in four clean vessels made of earth, pour various kinds of water such as sea water, as well as milk, and flowers without impurities, and place them there. Perform a water homa there, and satisfy the nagas. The ritual for performing the water homa is as follows: After arranging such a water mandala, there are also other things that become offerings, the three white foods made from milk, the three sweets, white sesame seeds, white mustard seeds, white rice, and so on, various kinds of white grains, various jewels, camphor and white sandalwood, and so on, various kinds of incense and medicine, and other pure white water, and so on.
