In the city of skulls and iron, the chief of all pretas, the lord of all the Matrikas, the bridge for all the living and the dead, the one who appoints and drives away the living, the lord of the dead, the holder of the place for the virtuous, the punisher of the wicked, the one who judges good and evil according to the Dharma, known as the Dharma King Yama, possessing clairvoyance, miraculous powers, and great strength, along with your retinue, please consider me today. I am a yogi practitioner, the heart-son of youthful Manjushri, the yogi of Yama, the slayer. In order to accomplish perfect enlightenment, my mind is moistened with the thought of enlightenment. My source is Vajradhara of Wisdom, generated by the glory of body, speech, and mind. My purpose is the benefit of all beings. My activity is the activity of all Buddhas. My command is the command of the Three Jewels. To the king and his retinue, I wish to entrust this fierce activity. This evil one named "so-and-so," if alive, harms all beings, causes various harms to the Three Jewels, and hates all who practice yoga. With the left hand, holding a skullcup filled with a mixture of rakta and alcohol, offer argha, saying: To Yama Raja and his retinue, by offering argha, may the red argha, like flowers of ghee, arise inexhaustibly like an ocean. Recite "Om Hrih Shtrih Vikritanana Hum Phat Yama Arsha Dza Saparivara Argham Pratichchha Ho." Remaining in that mudra, take the flower in the left hand and offer it to Yama Raja and his retinue, may a house of stacked flowers arise, with a crest and an open mouth, with eight pillars erected, adorned with flower canopies, umbrellas, and garlands, possessing the nature of jewels. Recite "Om Hrih Shtrih Vikritanana Hum Phat Vajra Pushpa Puja Samaye Hum." Remaining in that mudra, take the incense in the left hand and offer various incenses to Yama Raja and his retinue, may clouds of incense like the color of lapis lazuli arise at the neck of the palace, like stacked jewels. Recite "Om Hrih Shtrih Vikritanana Hum Phat Vajra Dhupa Puja Samaye Hum." Similarly, take the lamp in the left hand and offer the lamp to Yama Raja and his retinue, may light, such as the light of jewels that dispels darkness, arise in all directions of the palace. Recite "Om Hrih Shtrih Vikritanana Hum Phat Vajra Dipa Puja Samaye Hum." Similarly, take the perfume in the left hand and offer the perfume to Yama Raja and his retinue, may all the impurities of body and place be purified, and may they be satisfied with a comfortable touch, carrying fragrance, and possessing patience.
