Until manifestation, he has some control over wisdom. Therefore, starting from guarding the four periods, until the supreme union, contemplate briefly, and respectfully practice the great yoga. When he sees the Vajra body, etc., freely like a fruit in the palm of his hand, he has gained control over wisdom, so he should practice the completion stage that is explained without fixed periods. Then, when he dwells firmly in emptiness and arises, being able to bless to appear as he wishes, this is called having truly gained control over wisdom. Liberated from fixed activities, he abides as an accomplished being who has become independent. The meaning of the words is easy to understand. Now, since the yogi who practices in this way must protect the samaya like rain, the samaya is shown by "Do not despise the teacher," etc. As it is said, the Vajra master is the one who gives the empowerment. One should avoid being disrespectful, holding grudges, and despising him. If one does not avoid this here, it is a root downfall, as it is said: "Even if one practices, one will not achieve accomplishment if one reviles the teacher from the heart." Regarding those who have received instructions, etc., from him, and now, having heard the instructions, etc., think, "What is the use of this?" this stinginess is reviling the teacher from the heart. Therefore: "The lama is the one who shows the mandala, even if his conduct is bad, one should never criticize him with body or mind, or with wisdom." Is it only the one who gives empowerment who is the teacher? The teacher who gives empowerment, shows the tantra, and from whom one receives the practical instructions is also the teacher. These three are also teachers, being without selfish motives and wishing to benefit others. Therefore: "Anyone who reads the Dharma, explains and shows the instructions, gives empowerment, and acts, is called a teacher." Thus it is divided, and also, even if one has only heard one verse, if one does not regard him as a teacher, one will be born as a dog a hundred times, and will also be born as a leper.

Oṃ so! Therefore, from the "Secret Moon Bindu," it says: Quickly, to the Vajra Master, because one desires the accomplishment of mantras, with reverence and awe, one should approach with utmost dedication. Never should one disturb the mind of the Vajra Master. If one seeks wisdom, one will quickly fall into hell. Diseases and harms, and enemies, demons and near-harms, and poison itself. The one who reviles the feet of the teacher, that great fool will die. From the guru, one obtains accomplishments. The guru is heaven, the guru is bliss. Therefore, with all diligence, do not transgress the guru's commands. Thus it is said. Knowingly displeasing him, fearlessness is perfected here. Do not transgress the words of the Sugata. This is like what was said before when writing, it is to despise the teachings. The term "companion" refers to those who have received empowerment from the same mandala with the same teacher, and one should not speak of their faults due to jealousy, etc. Loving-kindness is the desire to accomplish unsurpassed benefit and happiness, and one should never transgress it. The term "bodhicitta" refers to the desire to free others from suffering and its causes, the object of desire is compassion, therefore one should never abandon it, not even for a moment. The term "self and other dharma" refers to the doctrines of one's own and others' schools, and the term "do not slander" means not to refute with debate. Beings gradually enter and attain enlightenment only through the vehicle of their own aspirations, and forcibly changing aspirations is only a cause for increasing hatred, so let it go. Therefore, in the Holy Lotus Sutra, it is also said: Do not dispute the Dharma, do not delight in disputing the Dharma. Uncultivated means not having cultivated wisdom, therefore one should not speak of secrets, that is, words corresponding to emptiness. Do not despise one's own aggregates, such as form. Here, do not slander because of "because it is a burden, it is an aggregate," etc., because it has been said, "Self-destruction is a corpse, it destroys the happiness of men." And, in this method of secret mantra, on these very five aggregates one strives for unsurpassed enlightenment.
