Merely manifesting another form is regarded as nirvana. As it is said in the chapter of the Noble One, "Transcending the World": 'O sons of the Victorious One, the Thus-gone Ones, the Arhats, the Perfectly Awakened Ones, having completed the deeds of the Buddha, show the great complete nirvana after considering the ten meanings. What are the ten? Thus, to completely show that all conditioned things are impermanent as they truly are; to show that all compounded things are unreliable; to completely show that the state of nirvana is blissful, going to happiness, free from all fear and anxiety; to the gods and humans who are attached to the body of form, to completely show that the body of form itself is impermanent; to be completely joined to the body of Dharma; to completely show that it is irreversible for the sake of the power of transformation; to completely show that all conditioned things are ultimately unreliable and cannot be controlled; nirvana is the supreme essence, to completely show it as the nature of fearlessness; to completely show that arising and destruction will eventually be separated; O sons of the Victorious One, the nature of the Buddha, the Bhagavan, is also the same; having completed all the deeds of the Buddha, all intentions are completely fulfilled, and the wheel of Dharma is greatly turned, and all those to be tamed are greatly tamed, and all Bodhisattvas will be greatly prophesied, and in the incomparable state, they will completely enter the great nirvana. O sons of the Victorious One, having correctly seen these ten meanings, the Thus-gone Ones, the Arhats, the Perfectly Awakened Ones, show the complete great nirvana of the incomparable state.' Thus, the yogi should abide by faith and attention that is in accordance with the true Bodhicitta as spoken above, or abide only by attention. Therefore, this is established as both the path and its result. In order for the nuns to also clearly understand this meaning, it is said 'from then on' and so on. This is easy to understand, and it also only repeats what has been said before.

It is so. This commentary on the Great Nirvana Sutra is different from others. Just as the directions of the sky, are not permanent to all, similarly in all dharmas, the secret mantra protector does not reside. Just as things are in the sky, abiding and constantly appearing, but that does not become a dwelling place, the secret mantra protector is also like that. The sky, the three times, etc., are as desired and separated, similarly the secret mantra protector, although without the three times, appears. It is only a place for establishing names, separate from the doer, etc. For the sky, the skillful ones establish it as a term. Apart from the name, there is not the slightest existence, like the sky. Similarly, the secret mantra自在(dbang phyug) also only appears as a term. It is not fire and water and wind, nor is it earth and sun, not the moon and all the constellations, not day nor night, not birth nor cessation, not death nor decay, not a moment nor an instant, nor years, etc., not destruction nor formation, nor is there a number of kalpas, not born from good and non-good, nor does it exist in the middle. Those who desire the omniscient state, for all kinds of conceptualizations, all those will not change anywhere, for that one should always strive. Thus it is said. Bodhi is said to be non-conceptual, naturally luminous, bodhi is the nature of the sky. Abandon all conceptualizations. Thus it is said. The mind of that self is the bodhi mind. Again, Shariputra, that mind is the nature of bodhi, therefore it is called bodhi mind. Thus it is said. The beginning refers to giving all the instructions here. Chapter refers to as before. Explanation of the seventeenth chapter. Now, in order to abbreviate the text, it is said that the great secret lord, the special vajra lineage, etc. Yakshas, those who fiercely hold secret mantras, are secret. In order to subdue those, they are born as the自在(dbang phyug) of those, therefore they are the lords. Furthermore, all the Tathagatas are empowered to hold the secret meaning, therefore they are the secret lords. The excellence of that very power
