These have been explained separately. However, the many vehicles are of different minds. As it is said in the Lankavatara Sutra: The vehicle of gods and Brahma, the Tathagata of the Shravakas, the Pratyekabuddha Tathagata, and the Great Vehicle, I have taught. As long as the mind exists, there is no end to the vehicle. Because it is said so. Here, the uniqueness of the boundary is known by the three transcendental vehicles. Vidya refers to the vidya of rosary mantras, etc., which are motivated by the difference of karma. Essence refers to the seed syllables such as Hum (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽). Mantra refers to recitation and motivation. Mudra refers to Mahamudra and so on. The three stages of Samadhi, etc., refer to the realization of the first, etc., with limbs. Common refers to Vidyadhara, etc., which are common to the lords of the earth, the noble Shravakas, the great worldly gods, and the Yoga Tantras, etc. Another accomplishment refers to the accomplishment of Mahamudra. Knowing the classification by the rules of the Tantra refers to knowing the classifications of the methods of practice, etc., according to the order of this Tantra. The fourteen root downfalls of having vows are to be abandoned. Garlic, etc., and nectar, etc., are to be protected. Abiding in greed means that gross downfalls are to be protected. Looking at the field of activity, the Great Vajradhara, etc., is to be protected. Diligent in wisdom yoga, it means that the essence of manifest enlightenment is the doctrine of this treatise, so be diligent in combining with it and abide in its yoga. Knowing well the practice of mantra tantra, it means knowing the classifications of practice related to mantra, such as peacefulness, etc., as stated in the fourth chapter, and the vases, etc., abiding in preparation, etc. Because mantra, meditation, and substances are related. It is appropriate to accomplish the benefit of sentient beings, which means through the gates of those actions. Then, in order to eliminate the idea that it is different from the characteristics of the practitioner spoken by the great lama, it is said that giving, etc. Giving means giving. Steadfast means meditation.

No. First, one must understand the precepts and so on. "This is the supreme quality of it." This means that following the tenets of this treatise is said to be a virtue. If it is not so, it will appear inverted. The so-called "not possessing the virtue of speech" means that if one does not possess the qualities mentioned above, there is no benefit for sentient beings, therefore one is not a practitioner. Having thus spoken of the characteristics of common practice, the characteristics of writing are specifically stated, beginning with "possessing love." The so-called "possessing love" means possessing compassion. The so-called "conduct" refers to the Dharma of not abandoning the mind of enlightenment and so on. The so-called "possessing recitation" means that having done the recitation of one's own deity, one sees the signs of stability or accomplishment, or it means not having obtained (accomplishment). The so-called "possessing faith" means possessing faith, therefore one will not be confused about the object. The so-called "knowing the profound reality" means realizing the suchness of all inconceivable things. The so-called "first practicing in one's own retinue place" means abiding in the wheel of one's own mandala, for the initial practitioner, in four periods, in the order that will appear below, with the initial yoga and other limbs, one should first practice, and one should write the mandala, which is the meaning of writing the mandala for the purpose of empowering the disciples. Similarly, those who have obtained a little power of wisdom and those who have obtained the power of wisdom should also abide in their own wheel, with the limbs of close practice and so on, and with the recitation that has the characteristics of the three syllables, practice in four periods or day and night, and then empower the disciples as appropriate, and write the mandala for accomplishing one's own attainments. The so-called "the place that is said to be perfect" means any place. The so-called "in a pleasant place" means all the places that are pleasing to the mind with flowers and so on. Or, having first practiced in any place, one should write the mandala in a pleasant place, others have also explained it this way. The place mentioned above is said to be purified in an external way, that is, "anoint with excellent sandalwood and so on."
