Those drinks should also be visualized as the five nectars and the five lights, because through the purification of the fire of wisdom, they become more excellent than the external. Therefore it is said: 'The fire of wisdom in the belly, because of proper purification, is better than the external.' The yogi's enjoyment of food itself is a fire offering, so the ritual of fire offering is discussed, i.e., 'external' etc. The so-called external fire offering refers to relying on external stoves, spoons, ghee, and food, etc. The so-called 'only slightly mentioned' is because it is written here from the perspective of meditation, fearing that there would be too much content, so its ritual is not explained in detail, but it is said: 'It should be inferred from chapter sixteen.' The so-called 'this arising from thought' refers to the internal, i.e., the samadhi of eating food, the so-called 'aggregates etc.' refers to the aggregates, sense bases, and elements being inanimate objects, so they are firewood, and 'igniting the fire of wisdom' refers to igniting the non-dual fire of wisdom, by burning ordinary things such as the aggregates, so it is called unsurpassed. This is not explained in detail. Therefore, this treatise speaks of the three fire offerings of external, internal, and unsurpassed. Now it is to summarize the above, i.e., 'to summarize' etc. The order as previously stated, i.e., to form etc., or to other things, should also be known as inseparable from the deep and bright form of the deity, and then offered, this is for the sake of hearing. Because in such an offering, all things do not transcend, so it is a vow, which is pleasing to the Sugatas. Therefore it is said: 'For all desirable enjoyments, how to show what is desired, with the union of one's own deity, offer to oneself and others. Those who practice asceticism and keep vows, even if they rely on it, will not succeed.' Therefore, the nature of the offering of form etc. is the cause of benefit, while the Shravakas etc. fall due to the arising of attachment etc. to form etc., so it is prohibited. If it is not so, because there is no nature other than the mind, the mind itself is the mandala wheel, as previously stated, there is no nature of other independent deities etc. that can be offered, so the Shravakas are attached to external objects.
