I speak of the characteristics of these dharmas encompassed by Nirvana as being neither the same nor different, which is very wondrous. Why? In true conventionality, samsara abides in the nature of being completely afflicted, while Nirvana abides in the nature of being completely purified. Sentient beings in samsara abide in the nature of being conditioned and defiled, while the Tathagata abides in the nature of being unconditioned and undefiled, so they are not the same. If one understands the meaning of the suchness of the nature of sentient beings, then samsara itself is Nirvana. Sentient beings who are conditioned and defiled appear as the unconditioned and undefiled body of the Buddha, and the body and wisdom of the Buddha pervade the nature of all objects of vessel and essence, so they appear as the realm of activity of those in samsara. Or, although sentient beings appear as the realm of activity of samsara, the nature of Nirvana is inherently present within themselves, so one becomes a Buddha from a sentient being, and the Buddha himself appears as a sentient being, so it is said that they are neither the same nor different, which is very wondrous. Alas, the senses are extremely peaceful! This is to boast and marvel that that meaning is difficult to understand. The dharmas of samsara and Nirvana are neither the same nor different, and this is not the realm of activity of the senses, for it cannot be known by consciousness. Why? Because it is extremely or very peaceful and subtle, like the eye seeing form, the ear hearing sound, the nose smelling scent, the tongue tasting flavor, the body touching touch, or the mind clearly contemplating, there is no manifest establishment of an object, so it is not possible to act as those do in their realm of activity, or because there is no realm of activity at all in this, it is shown to be beyond the senses. Since the nature of Nirvana is non-existent, it is peaceful and subtle, but why is samsara, which appears gross with the aspect of characteristics, beyond the realm of activity of the senses? It is said: Alas, the continuum of samsaras! Alas, the extreme Nirvana! Thus it is said. The five aggregates of samsara that are closely grasped, arising in dependence, due to the aggregation of causes and conditions, are impermanent and abide in the nature of continuity, and if not examined, are pleasing to the

Although the essence exists, it is not primarily established as such. If one recognizes that illusion itself appears in that way, then it is the essence of nirvana, and therefore it is considered to be the nature of all body and wisdom, so it is called beyond the realm of the senses. Secondly, striving for a higher meaning. Emaho! Samsara relies on the continuity of dependent origination, so the object and mind appear different, appearing as grasper and grasped. Although the mind is an illusion, appearing as an object, seemingly with characteristics, if one realizes that the mind has no self-nature, then the object will not be established as having characteristics. Therefore, the separation of object and mind from grasper and grasped is itself nirvana, which is truly wonderful. If we are to explain it from a profound perspective, Emaho! It is truly wonderful! What is wonderful? It is this secret collection of tantras that proclaims that all dharmas are inseparable from the nature of body, speech, and mind. Why is there wonder at this? It is called the senses being extremely peaceful. It means that if the forms, etc., that are the objects of the five senses such as the eye, and the three appearances of the upper, middle, and lower of the desired qualities, are all recognized as the three natures of body, speech, and mind vajra, and recognized as the essence of the goddess of desire, the form vajra mother, etc., then one can be sure not to be bound, and become free and liberated, so it is called extremely peaceful. It will not turn into coarse afflictions, but will turn into extremely peaceful and subtle wisdom. Therefore, it proclaims such meaning, or because it is the cause of having meaning, it is called wonderful. Then, can one achieve the same through cultivating other paths and antidotes, without modification, through such meditation? If it can be achieved, then how should the meditator cultivate in order to achieve it? Therefore it is said: Emaho! The continuity of samsaric dharmas! Emaho! Supreme nirvana! Emaho! This indicates that through such meditation, one can eliminate all the faults of samsara, and one feels proud and wonderful about this. Why? Because when the four conditions of knowledge are assembled, the senses and consciousness will also regard the objects as the nature of the three afflictions and generate them. The objects and senses will also generate the habits of the three afflictions from consciousness and plant them on the alaya consciousness.
