End. Unifying these, the practice of which yogi knows union, because both are non-different in essence. Because one cannot change the essence, these beginningless views and practices arise because of not fully knowing it. The nature of things is only non-duality, as before, it is ultimate. In order to explain the views of the Hearers and the Sutra-based Madhyamikas: "Grasped and grasper, two minds are not there; where there is non-duality, that is said to be union." It is said that external objects, which are non-material, arising from the collection of causes that act together with grasping, are established by valid cognition, and therefore exist as the form of the grasped. Similarly, the internal eye and so on, as before, are established as the form of the grasper and exist, this is the tenet of the Vaibhashikas. The Sutra-based Madhyamikas believe that the twelve sense bases, which arise from causes and conditions, exist separately as the form of the grasped and the grasper, but are without inherent existence. If those two tenets are not grasped by the two kinds of minds, but merge into the non-dual mind, that is union, as before, it is ultimate. In order to explain the view of the Yogacara Madhyamikas: "The minds of permanence and annihilation, whoever abandons, the well-abiding one, by this order of union, knows that itself and is wise." It is said that only consciousness appears as the aspect of objects, here, external objects do not exist because they cannot be established by valid cognition. However, the aspect of consciousness is also without inherent existence, the Yogacara Madhyamikas believe that because they reject external objects, the aspect of annihilation will arise for them, and because they accept the aspect of consciousness without inherent existence, the aspect of permanence will arise. Therefore, abandoning the two minds of permanence and annihilation, whoever knows the suchness that is non-different from this, the wise one is the one who knows the path of no more learning. Completely knowing consciousness and aspects is liberation. In order to explain one's own tenet, wisdom...

Regarding the single compassion, knowing it, where will one enter? It is taught as union, this stage is the realm of activity of the Buddhas. Thus it is said. Some Shravakas are particularly inclined to hold onto compassion focused on sentient beings on the ground of practice, desiring enlightenment. Because they lack wisdom, the extreme of annihilation arises. Wherever one knows these to be without distinction and engages for the benefit of beings, that is the realm of activity of the Buddhas, which is the realm of activity of the All-Illuminating Ground, which is taught as the stage of union, which, like the former, is ultimate. In order to explain the aspect of the yogi of the completion stage: When method and wisdom are equally entered, and one knows from the collection of all, wherever the great yoga abides, that will become union. Thus it is said. Regarding the sequence of mudras focused on the mind, and the four stages, method and wisdom are equally entered. By that, "all" means knowing the luminosity of the mind and the naturally occurring luminosity. In the third stage, one also knows the conventional truth of illusory-like phenomena. Even so, one falls into two extremes. From the perspective of ultimate truth, gathering these together and fully knowing them to be non-different, that is what is taught as union, which is ultimate. In order to explain the aspect of the Shravakas again: Wherever there is remainder, and likewise no remainder, without such conceptualization, that is union. Thus it is said. Wherever there is no conceptualization of the two nirvanas, with remainder and without remainder, one should know that to be the stage of union. Through the practice of the path, even though the afflictions are abandoned, as long as the aggregates exist, it is not liberation, which is the nirvana with remainder. Just as a lamp goes out when the oil is exhausted, when the aggregates are destroyed, it is taught as the nirvana without remainder. These being non-different is union. Therefore, there is no difference between samsara and nirvana, there is only the difference made by whether one fully knows or does not fully know. As it is said: Samsara and nirvana, these two do not exist, samsara is
