In order to explain that one should practice and cultivate, it is said: The great yogi who is in the state of union and is learning, because of practicing union, his behavior is no different from it. This means that the yogi who is in the stage of union, how he practices union, his behavior is also no different, just like obtaining the fruit, free from dualistic distinctions, behavior should be practiced and cultivated, this is the literal meaning. In order to explain it through the differences of caste, merit, action and substance, it is said: How to treat the enemy like oneself, how to treat the father like the wife, how to treat the mother like the prostitute, how to treat the untouchable like the Brahmin. This means that the yogi has the same thought towards himself and the enemy, because he does not cling to the difference between self and other. Similarly, he has the same mind towards the source of happiness and the wife who tames, and the father. Similarly, he has the same mind towards the prostitute and the mother who should go and should not go, this is no difference from the point of view of substance. There is no difference between the untouchable and the Brahmin, this is no difference in caste, this is the literal meaning. Furthermore, in order to explain, it is said: How to treat clothes like skin, how to treat butter like poison, how to treat wine like urine, how to treat rice like excrement. This means that when wearing clothes, one should know that there is no difference between skin and clothes. Similarly, butter and poison, flowing and not flowing, etc., are harmful things, and one should also know that they are the same. Similarly, when eating and drinking, rice and excrement, as well as winter wine and urine, should be known to be no different, this is no difference in substance. This is the literal meaning. Furthermore, how the fragrant camphor, similarly the odor produced by excrement, how the words of praise. This means that there is no difference between fragrant and unpleasant camphor, and excrement, etc., this is no difference in merit. The words of praise and slander should be known to be no different in action, this is the literal meaning. Furthermore, how the mighty Vajradhara, how to treat night like day, how to dream

See the mother as such. Abide in fear as such. Thus it is said. The fierce one is the great god. The Vajra holder is the great Vajradhara. Know that they are not different. Because they are the same through the door of the Dharmakaya. As it is said: Whatever other speakers may be, all that exists with distinctions of signs, should not be disparaged, for they are emanations of Vajrasattva. Thus it is said. Also know that day and night are not different. Because both are pervaded by the nature of luminosity, they are the same. Dreams and visions are awakening. Know that they are also not different. Because there is no external object, they are merely separate appearances, therefore there is no difference between them. Likewise, destruction and abiding are fear and arising. Know that they are also not different. Therefore, for things that arise interdependently, there is temporarily no arising. Because there is no arising, there is also no destruction. Therefore, these appear separately to children due to confusion. Ultimately, there is neither arising nor destruction. Because all dharmas depend on luminosity. As it is said: Here, whatever does not arise, there is also no death, the nature of mind abides thus, know that samsara is nirvana. Thus it is said, from the third chapter, as it is in the words. Furthermore, for the sake of explanation. How happiness is like suffering. How hatred is like a child. Avici hell is like heaven. Likewise, sin and merit. Thus it is said. Yogis do not distinguish between happiness that causes joy and displeasure, and suffering. Because the nature of desire and non-desire, etc., dissolves into luminosity and arises from it. As it is said: Just as clouds are various, with different colors and shapes, having arisen in the realm of the sky, they dissolve into it. Likewise, all natures are the cause of the three existences, having entered into objects without exception, they enter into luminosity. Thus it is said. Likewise, yogis also do not distinguish between hatred and children. With hatred and joy
