because it is. Vajrasattva himself is the ultimate. Becoming small and large, and going anywhere, possessing all desires, being light, becoming the master, becoming independent, dwelling in joy, the eight great siddhis are the mastery of all, because one has attained it, therefore it is the mastery of all. Again, the mastery of the body, the mastery of speech. Likewise, the mastery of mind, and, the mastery of all miraculous powers and qualities. The eight qualities of doing and ceasing. Because these are all included, it is the mastery of all, just as it sounds. Transforming the consciousnesses beginning with the ālaya, realizing the wisdom of the dharmadhātu, and, because it is not to be moved by the skandha-māras and so forth, therefore it is the vajra-like samādhi, the ultimate. Because it is free from all elaborations, and because it is established by its own nature, therefore the vajra-like samādhi itself is the completion stage, it is not the intention. The body that is closely represented by the twelve examples of illusion is the illusion-like samādhi. If you ask, what is the difference between this and the third stage? It should be said that the third stage will not be completely purified until the fourth stage has purified it. This stage is naturally pure, so it does not need another purification, because it is non-learning. There, it is seen as illusion-like, but here it is only spontaneously accomplished, this is the difference, it is hidden. It should be said that because of the previously explained stages, saṃsāra and nirvāṇa and so forth are not different, therefore it is non-dual, the ultimate. All tantras are the measure of this, the words of unborn and so forth. Those that teach non-dual wisdom. Everything is expressed by this, there nothing else is taught. Thus it is said, the Bhagavan spoke from the different forms of the sūtras and tantras, unborn, and, suchness, the true limit, equality, emptiness, non-conceptual wisdom, pure world

Nirvana of quiescence, transcendence of the world, complete liberation, liberation, mere consciousness, the Middle Way, and so forth—all such terms that express non-dual wisdom, the suchness of the nature of the non-abiding realm, are revealed through this very sequence of union as the means of expression. The sutras and so on do not teach anything else; there is nothing else to be said apart from this sequence. This is a concluding statement. Therefore, even though the treatises on action and so forth may differ, the suchness that is spoken of is the same. Different paths do not prove that suchness is different, because it is the essence of permanence, oneness, and the nature of reality. The differences that arise according to the differences in the basis are as stated by the noble Maitreya: "Because the realm of reality is without difference, this nature cannot be divided. The differences in the basis of phenomena, those differences are fully expressed." This is according to the literal meaning. This sequence is what accomplishes the Buddhas of the three times, as it is said: "The Buddhas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, all through this, abandoning the extremes of existence and non-existence, accomplish the nature of the Great Seal." This means that, for the time being, the Buddhas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, that is, all the Tathagatas of the three times, attain the state of the Great Seal and obtain the rank of the Great Vajradhara through this very sequence of union. How is it accomplished? By abandoning the extremes of existence and non-existence, being free from the extremes of existence and non-existence, the nature of the samadhi of union. Therefore, from the second sequence onwards, urged on by all the Tathagatas, Shakya Simha attained Buddhahood, which is the ultimate reason. Having explained the sequence of the cause, practicing from the perspective of the sequence of the result: The conduct of the great yogi who abides in the state of union, like the practice of union, the conduct should also be non-dual with it.

So, when does a yogi practice? After rising from samadhi, when abandoning all actions, how to practice union, one should also practice in the same way, habitually and practically without any difference, this is the literal meaning. That is to say: As oneself, so is the enemy; as wife and daughter, so is the father; as a prostitute, so is the mother; as a Brahmin, so is a Chandalas. It means that one should view oneself and even others and enemies. For the wives, daughters and fathers to be raised, they should also be treated the same, because there is no distinction between the different characteristics of men and women. For mothers and prostitutes, etc., one should not think differently, because in terms of ultimate truth, there is nothing desirable and undesirable. Since the nature is the same, no difference is observed, so Brahmins and Chandalas, etc., should also be treated the same, which is the same difference in caste, which is the literal meaning. The difference in merit is: As skin, so is clothing; as blood, so is poison; as urine, so is wine; as food, so is feces. It means that clothes, whether good or bad, should be worn, so don't regard clothes and skin, etc., as different. Blood makes the heart happy, and is the essence that is beneficial to the body, etc. Therefore, it should be known that there is no difference between harmful and beneficial, so blood and poison are the same. When one should drink and eat, what is the difference between urine and wine, food and feces? If things are analyzed with reason and scriptures, then there will be no difference in the merits of substances such as clean and unclean. Therefore, for a yogi, especially by the power of omniscient wisdom, all things are of the same nature, which is the literal meaning. There is no difference between matter and action: As good-smelling camphor, so is the odor from feces; as words of praise, so are words of slander. It means having good and bad smells
