also. So, what will this become? It will not give rise to afflictions, but will be separated from afflictions and attain Nirvana, which is what is meant. The meaning of reason is the meaning of logic. This is the means of approach, meaning by the power of this reason or logic. So, what will it become? It is connected by saying that it will become manifestly inclined towards liberation. The rest is easy to understand. Therefore, the ten virtues should also be abandoned here. So, how is that known? The Vajra Cutter Sutra, etc., are quoted, saying that if even Dharma should be abandoned, it means that the ten virtues should also be abandoned. What more to say of non-Dharma, meaning what more to say of doing evil deeds. Some think that that scriptural authority is inconsistent with these treatises. The Guhyasamaja Tantra, etc., are quoted, saying that the path of the ten virtuous actions is the common basis, namely, abandoning taking what is not given, including thought, namely, I abandon taking what is not given. The method is to abandon through this. The fruit of abandoning is to obtain such a thing. If it is not abandoned, what will it become? It will abandon wisdom, namely, abandon non-conceptual wisdom. Why? Because the consciousness with concepts that focuses on two, etc., the consciousness with concepts and the consciousness without concepts are mutually abandoned, and are simultaneously contradictory. So, what is the mind? It is the virtuous friend, that which gives the supreme fruit is called the virtuous friend. The rest is easy to understand. Other scriptural authorities are also stated. How is it known that the mind is the virtuous friend? Therefore, Subhuti asked, meaning wanting to know that the mind is the virtuous friend and asking. All dharmas are solitary and empty, meaning that all dharmas are without self-nature and empty. If all dharmas are solitary and empty, then how will afflictions arise in sentient beings? It means that if sentient beings are also without self-nature, then what more to say of afflictions. If the nature of afflictions is such, then how will it be purified? Because they are mutually abandoned. Some think, why will it not change? Solitude is affliction

It will not be completely changed, nor will it be completely purified. Solitude means being separated from all conceptualizations. All defilements and complete purification are conceptualizations. Son of good family, this dualistic grasping is conceptualization. These two, even if alternately grasped, are conceptualizations. Then, through solitude and emptiness, who attains Buddhahood? Or through what else does one attain Buddhahood? Solitude or emptiness does not attain Buddhahood, because they are separated from their own state. According to the following, it will also not change, even the Buddha himself does not exist, and causes and conditions do not exist. When asked and answered, "Subhuti, what do you think?" it means "What thoughts do you have?" because thoughts are very difficult to understand. Sentient beings have long been accustomed to clinging to self and clinging to what is mine, meaning that from beginningless time, clinging to self is clinging to a self. Clinging to what is mine is clinging to "my father," "my mother." "It is so" means "It is like that." If clinging to self and clinging to what is mine exist, then clinging to self and clinging to what is mine are actually empty, meaning that in ultimate truth, all dharmas are empty due to clinging to self and clinging to what is mine. Then, what is the cause of samsara? Due to clinging to self and clinging to what is mine, do sentient beings wander in samsara? It means that due to clinging to self and clinging to what is mine, sentient beings are bound and wander in samsara, which is wandering. Then, what is nirvana? From where is it known? The Sutra of Complete Purification of All Karmic Obscurations, etc., is quoted, meaning, what is unborn? Is it born? It means that the mind itself abides in unborn, then will it be born in another birth? "It is not" means that unborn will not become birth, etc. Even if it does not change, if sentient beings are in hell, then will it change? If unborn itself does not exist, it means that if unborn itself is completely purified. "How can there be no evil destinies?" means that evil destinies and those who go to evil destinies are also not perceived, which is a synonym.
