Like the moon. From that arises light and self, melting, appearing, expanding, like the sun gathering, is called obtaining appearance. This is spoken in terms of the object of focus. Crown, throat, heart, or abiding in the secret place. This is abiding in the aspect of the place. Moments and so on, abiding is the appearance of time. The manner of the moon and sun setting, this is spoken in terms of metaphor. In the sequence of the womb and so on, wisdom increases, and whatever is the object of focus and so on, confusion will arise from time. This is an intermediate verse. Furthermore, for confusions, there are causes and conditions, and the sequence of the arising of results, and the three appearances, arise from the nature of luminosity, and from obtaining, reversing the order, these are the appearances of the result. The mind rides on the wind, these natures arise. This is an intermediate verse. Thus, having extensively explained the object of focus of the mind, next, the illusory-like samadhi will be explained. In that, the combination of the object of focus of the mind is as before. This is saying that the essence and so on are as before. Explaining extensively. Focusing on illusion is the essence. This is saying that this illusory-like samadhi is the essence. Why? Because it is approximated by the example of illusion. It is called the illusory-like body. This is saying that for the illusory-like, because it is approximated by the twelve examples of illusion, it is the illusory-like body. How many differences are there? Whether sequential or simultaneous, or more or less. This is like the generation stage, as before. Conventional truth and illusion, and the mind-made form are synonyms. If one possesses Dharma and conch? The body and illusion are similar, the mind-made form, and these objects of samadhi. This is saying that whoever possesses these is called that, and this also excludes others. What is the cause? Arising from obtaining, this is the cause. This is saying that the wisdom of obtaining appearance is the cause of the illusory-like. When should one meditate? After the object of focus of the mind has reached its culmination, one truly abides in the illusory-like. This is saying, who gene

Furthermore, meditating on the illusory nature of things involves focusing the mind on it. If asked what benefits there are, this practice enables the attainment of the two bodies. It is said that by practicing the illusory nature, one can attain the complete enjoyment body and the emanation body. Moreover, there is an explanation: Whoever indicates all things with the metaphor of illusion, and afterwards, from its form, no longer sees anything else, reaching the ultimate extent, through the union of body, speech, and mind, the practice of this dharma will be accomplished. This is an intervening verse. Next, the clear light will be explained, first explaining its essence: Whatever is free from conceptualization, that is the essence of clear light. It means that being free from the conceptualization of grasper and grasped, that is the essence of clear light. Why is it said so? Because it is naturally clear light, and in order to dispel conceptualization, it is called clear light. How many distinctions are there? The clear light of knowing and the knowable is explained here. It means that the clear light of the knowable is the dharmadhatu, and the clear light of knowing is wisdom. It also has two aspects: naturally clear light and adventitious clear light, which have been explained. Explaining its synonyms: clear light, free from conceptualization, unconditioned, one should know that these are its synonyms. This is easy to understand. It is also said: Through learning and non-learning, one should know that there are two kinds of clear light. Completely grasping and subsequently observing, is called the clear light of learning. Non-learning is free from conceptualization, without object, pure, and primordially pure. Its synonyms are countless, which were declared by the sons of the Buddhas. This is an intervening verse. Furthermore: The cause is wisdom and samadhi, transforming in dependence on conventional truth, this is called time. When everything is without self-nature, that is the ultimate extent that is spoken of. In this most joyful ground, one abides in truth. That is abandoning conceptualization, moving towards higher states. Whoever, for the signless dharma, is an extremely devoted practitioner, truly arises through the yoga of oneness. The hero under the Bodhi tree, being in equipoise, for him, the clear light is the beginning of the prophecy. Therefore, the clear light manifests.
