Moreover, meditative food and so on are the cause for producing fruit. It means that because meditative food, time, and place, etc., can produce fruit, that is why it is said that way. When is it? When the arising stage is complete, the mind is focused completely, and one is released from the focus. What is its nature? Abandoning faults and possessing qualities, this is what is called nature. What is the object of focus? Like the four classifications, light and lines, rosaries, or three letters, or skillful means and wisdom. It means that light and lines, rosaries of bindus, Oṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), Āḥ (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿), Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) on the top, and the rosaries of Āli and Kāli, focusing on these is the object of focus. When focusing, what is the cause or companion for focusing the mind? Gatherings, etc., will become companions for this practice, which is easy to understand. What precedes it? The arising stage and adjusting the channels precede it. It means that before Vajra recitation, one must adjust the channels and learn the arising stage, this is what precedes it. What is its basis? Relying on the union of the arising stage, one recites. It means that the basis of Vajra recitation is the arising stage, because one relies on this to do this, that is why it is said that way. Empty talk, etc., are unfavorable conditions. It means that empty talk, harsh words, divisive speech, and lies, etc., these are unfavorable conditions for recitation. Its antidote is itself, because it is an opposition. What is the difference in ground? If one constantly abides in this, one will abide on the eighth ground. It means that a yogi who abides in Vajra recitation will abide on the middle forbearance of the eighth ground. What are the siddhis associated with it? By focusing on the five colors, the four activities are accomplished in connection with it. It means that peaceful activities and protection, as well as increase, etc., will arise.

Whoever abides in this, will accomplish other common siddhis. Through the union of entering and abiding, the accomplishment of this affair will be realized. This is an intermediate verse. Then, with what kind of conduct is it related? It is related to anointing. Learning is related to conduct. This refers to blessing and eating meat and other foods, and using these things for anointing. From where to where is the boundary? Relying on the generation stage, focus on the mind. In between is the Vajra recitation. This means starting from the initial generation stage, and reciting the Vajra recitation until one is accustomed to it and focuses on the mind. What result will arise? The union of speech mastery is also accomplished through this Vajra recitation. Through this, one will obtain the limbs of speech mastery like the ocean, or the sixty branches of melodious sounds, etc. What is the measure of habituation? Whoever can clearly see the winds, the experience is the measure of habituation. Wherever color, shape, and number appear clearly, that is the measure of habituation. What is the measure of final completion? Transferring positions and transforming into many. This is the measure of final completion. This refers to transforming subtle winds into coarse ones, transforming coarse winds into subtle ones, and knowing the opposite of subtle and coarse winds. At this time, if the breath is drawn inward, no harm will occur. Furthermore: Whoever, the first, second, and third person, completely controls shape, wind, and illusion, results will arise for the fortunate. There is no reading, no color mixing. No rosary is needed, no counting is needed. However, since it relies on the winds, this is explained as recitation. Whoever abides in this union will obtain speech mastery. This is an intermediate verse. Having thus extensively shown the Vajra recitation, now we will explain focusing on the mind. Then, how many kinds of focusing on the mind are there? The explanation is as follows: In the place of focusing on the mind, the essence and the divisions, the definitive words and the names, and with what kinds of dharmas it is associated, excluding others, cause, time, and ability. What is the essence? The samadhi of focusing on the mind is considered to be its own essence. This refers to any samadhi of focusing on the mind, that is its

It is one's own nature. Why focus on the mind? Is it the heroes of body, speech, and mind? Or is it focused on the mind of enlightenment? It is said so because of the appearance of the mind. This will be shown below. What are the divisions? Self-nature, delusion, pure path, and twelve aspects of the fruit. This refers to the three appearances of self-nature, the three appearances of delusion, the three appearances of the path, and the three appearances of the fruit. The names are: focusing on the hero, focusing on the mind. Mind and consciousness are names. This is easy to understand. How does the Dharma eliminate the combination of other schools? It is said to be through reductio ad absurdum and antidote. This has already been explained. The cause is the mind of enlightenment, which is wisdom and compassion. This means that by what is the Vajra recitation completed, and from that, what wisdom is generated, that is its cause. The time is when the recitation is completed. This means that when the Vajra recitation is completed, what is done at that time is the ability. What is the ability? It washes away the defilements of the mind. This means that by what can the delusion of the mind be eliminated, that is the ability. Furthermore, abiding constantly in the generated body, after the Vajra recitation is completed, the three heart-shaped syllables in the heart, or the clear bindu of light appears, like the moon. From that, light arises, together with myself, melting, the appearance expands, like the sun, and gathering is said to be obtaining the appearance. This is explained from the perspective of the object of focus. The crown of the head, the throat, the heart, or residing in the secret place. This is abiding in the manner of abiding. In the aspects of moments and so on, abiding is the appearance of time. The manner of the moon and sun setting is done from the perspective of analogy. In the stages of the womb and so on, knowledge increases, and whatever object of focus and so on, delusion arises from time. This is an intermediate verse. Furthermore, the causes and conditions for delusions, the order of the arising of the fruit, and whatever three appearances, arise from the clear light, and by obtaining, returning from the norm, these are the appearances of the fruit. The mind rides on the wind, and these self-natures arise. This is an intermediate verse. Thus, focusing on the mind has been extensively explained. That is illusion.
