Relying on busy sentient beings, the Bhagavan, glorious Cakrasamvara, great and small, mainly shows the two stages of the tantra distinction, mainly shows the four empowerments, and the four explanatory tantras with wisdom as the main one, were taught in the pure and noble place. Since there is no need for the distinction of the places of the four tantras here, it is not shown. After that, in order to subdue the four maras in this Jambudvipa, the glorious Hevajra Tantra, including the great tantra, the small tantra, and the explanatory tantra, was taught in Magadha. Since there is no need for the distinction of those places, etc., it is not shown here. Therefore, in these five classes of tantras, the Bhagavan, endowed with great compassion, taught the Vajramala Tantra in a small way on the western mountain in Oddiyana, possessing sixty-eight chapters, and taught eighty-two questions and answers. This also means that the two stages to be spoken of are the main meaning. Among them, first, the compiler of the Vajramala Tantra, Vajrapani or Manjushri, kept all the meanings of the tantra close to his heart, and then spoke the first word, the introduction, with other names of the introduction, such as "Thus" etc. This has three meanings: the necessity of the introduction, the summarized meaning of the introduction, and its branch meaning. Among them, the first is to encourage the listeners, to fully comply with the teachings of the Bhagavan, and by obtaining credible teachings, to show themselves as excellent listeners. The so-called summarized meaning refers to having five perfections. Among them, "Thus" etc. show that the act of teaching is perfect. "I heard" etc. briefly show the perfection of the retinue. "At one time" etc. is the perfection of time. "Bhagavan" etc. is the perfection of the teacher. "The essence of all the body, speech, and mind of all the Tathagatas, residing in the bhaga of the Vajra lady" etc. is the perfection of the place.

Thus it was said. Therein, the meaning of the limbs is twofold. The first is the four kinds of explanations, and the second is the distinction of explanations by the nature of outer and inner. Therein, when explaining the meaning of the letters, it should be explained in five perfect ways, that is, by the distinctions of suchness, moon, seed, and body, to explain the situation of the Tathagata's complete and perfect enlightenment residing in the palace as spoken. It should be understood and realized by following the explanation of the six edges. After that, abandoning endless statements such as "of these" or "by these," using the source of the Sutra Requested by Indra, explain the meaning of the two letters "thus." "The basis and parents of all are these two letters as taught. The letter ཨེ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning) is the mother, and the letter བཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning) is known as the father." Thus, and so on, explained by explanations. After that, it is said, "I have heard." Whatever is emanated by the nature of the seed, the wheel of the gods is the most excellent. When is the time of supreme joy? It is said to be in one time. The Bhagavan of the eight powers resides in the state of great bliss. The five aggregates of this are all victorious, and all the Tathagatas are also. The nature of that is body, speech, and mind, great bliss in this Vajra heart. The consort is the well-trained great mudra, the well-trained lotus bhaga. Residing there, the Vajradhara abides in the form of a bindu. Thus, and so on, the meaning is explained by the explanation of the general meaning. The hidden meaning follows after the fifty-ninth chapter, "ཨེ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning) is the supreme wisdom," and so on, the arrangement will be explained below. The ultimate meaning is
